I can't help but notice that J-League teams like picking up young Korean players. Is there a reason behind this? Outsourcing our local talents to Japan seems a bit counterproductive.
Because they offer a more lucrative deal than the Kleague does. The minimum wage the draftees get paid is ridiculously low... Hopefully that changes once they phase out the draft system.
its mostly the university guys that end up going to Japan like Chorok said for the bigger contracts. the leagues are fairly even playing level wise so it benefits Japan cause they get their AFC Asian spots filled and our players get more money. the problem is we dont want Japan always taking our top young players so that needs to change. hopefully with new rules saying clubs need a certain amount of U23s and increasing playing opportunities will help keep more players K-League.
2005: Cha Ki-Suk - Unknown Park Hee-Chul - Pohang Steelers Ahn Tae-Eun - Free Agent Lee Yo-Han - Seongnam Ilhwa Jung In-Hwan - Jeonbuk Hyundai Kim Jin-Kyu - FC Seoul Baek Seung-Min - match fixing Baek Ji-Hoon - Sangju Sangmu (Suwon Samsung) Oh Jang-Eun - Suwon Samsung Park Ju-Young - Arsenal Lee Keun-Ho - Sangju Sangmu (Ulsan Hyundai) Jung Sung-Ryong - Suwon Samsung Shin Hyung-Min - Al Jazira Park Jong-Jin - Suwon Samsung Hwang Kyu-Hwan - Tonan SC Sim Woo-Yeon - Seongnam Ilhwa Lee Seung-Hyun - Sangju Sangmu (Jeonbuk Hyundai) Kim Seung-Yong - Ulsan Hyundai Shin Young-Rok - retired Lee Kang-Jin - Daejeon Citizen (Jeonbuk Hyundai) Kim Dae-Ho - Chunnam Dragons
probably will update this after the winter window when most our U-League players get drafted/go abroad.
Kim Sun-woo will most likely be a Jeju United midfielder soon. If he learns well under Park Kyung-hoon we could see a very solid DM in Kim Sun-woo. Kim Dong-jun to Seongnam? probably. The hot prospects will definitely be Song Ju-hoon, Ryu Seung-woo, Shim Sang-min and Kim Yong-hwan. Hopefully they end up in the right club.
J League teams will be eyeing for some of these players but I hope they stay in the Korea. If not, just goes to show how stupid the draft system is.
Apparently Dortmund want Ryu Seung Woo. Not sure how credible the source is though. http://english.yonhapnews.co.kr/culturesports/2013/07/16/82/0702000000AEN20130716001451315F.HTML
Lol, dude, you need to visit the "Korean Youth Abroad Thread" more often. We have about a 3-5 page discussion going on right now.
I listened to Football N Talk on naver the other day. Lee Gwang Hoon says a lot of the U20 kids want to go to Kleague clubs because the Jleaguers say they're lonely and have it rough in Japan. Also Lee Gwang Hoon is a fun guy. Give his interview a listen. http://sports.news.naver.com/radio/index.nhn
Albirex Niigata on the way for Song Ju-hoon. Let the J League rush begin! [I want to kill these agents]
So one things certain....Noh Dong-gun from 2011 is joining Suwon Bluewings next season. But whats uncertain is these two....Ryu Seung-woo and Song Ju-hoon. Song Ju-hoon was reportedly going to J-league and then it all went silent for some reason. Then rumors came out saying he was stuck in deciding to choose J-league or K League Classic. Dunno. One thing certain about Ryu Seung-woo is that he will be joining a K League Classic team next season just dont know where. In fact there was rumor that he already signed with one team although it wasnt true (apparently from his coach). Even went into details with Kim Ho-gon being the person that went to Seung-woo himself to ask to sign with Ulsan. We should get to know more better by next month.
found out the ryu's agent is also the agent of HJH, KJC, JDW, and JTY. even though he screwed up a big opportunity i believe his agent will eventually get him to a respectable european club. http://www.transfermarkt.com/en/apertura-gmbh/details/berater_1193.html
