We are about to get a reasonable clear picture of this years roster against three top level MLS teams--LA, RBNY and RSL. We know our roster isn't complete but what we don't know is what ---if any --- significant improvements have been made during this offseason in out ability to compete in MLS. These three tests should clarify some of the questions we've been bantering around. First game is against LA on the 22nd and I think it will be streamed so we can get a first hand look at the 2012 Revs

We'll actually have 4 matches, as there's both a championship and third place match. Looking forward to Wednesday.

I see the Met-no-stars are looking to fill their trophy case with another 'prestigious' piece of silverware

For all those who think Bob Kraft doesn't care about the Revs:

    Frank Dell'Apa @frankdellapa Close
Robert Kraft gave Revolution send-off for Tucson pre-season trip. Told me he is committed to giving team what it needs to succeed.

... and this is what he had to say to the team:

@KelynRowe "Great players go to the Pro Bowl, but great teams go to the Super Bowl." Mr. Kraft #wisewords

He knows nothing about this sport and it shows on a daily basis, even when he's trying to motivate the team.

What would you expect him to say?

    The key facts:
    He was there in person
He made a commitment to the team--in person-- to buy what they needed.

That's a hell of a lot more than most posters on this board think of his commitment to his junior franchise.

I read this single act on his part as a sign he's ready to significantly increase his fiscal investment in the team. Only time will tell if my take is correct.

well they told us two years ago Kraft gave the green light to sign a dp or multiple dp's,,,,,we saw Caraglio for 3 months and they changed SJ to a DP, to save them money.....so while that may show commitment, it also shows poor execution of the FO part to follow thru.

To be fair, Shalrie as a DP costs Kraft more money. Before, Shalrie was payed by the league. Now, part of his salary is payed by Kraft.

thats fine, regarless, we hear crap from Kraft and FO and nothing is ever followed thru or comes out as the fans were hoping. Carglio was not the type of guy people were expecting. Most people had to google him. Decent player? sure. Surrounded by better player, he could have been even better but we will never know now because as Burns stated they feld that his production did not warrent the money, same with Lekic. Heaven for big they give someone more than a season to show their worth

Sadly, anything Kraft says regarding the Revs and his commitment to the team will be greeted with some skepticism.
According to an e-mail just sent out "ownership" will be present at the Season Ticket Holders event. If possible, it would be nice to see if he, or Jonathan, could expand on his comments.

Maybe because most posters on this board see 2nd year teams Portland and Vancouver signing DPs, while the Revs are still $750K under the cap. Actions speak louder than words.

If Kraft follows through on this commitment, great. But, as they say in Missouri, "show me".

And where was that commitment this winter when he was spending top dollar getting the best front office possible? You know, the president, GM and head coach who have combined zero years of experience?

What does the cap have to do with anything? The issue is that he hasn't previously invested in a top notch FO, SSS, DP, or the youth academy.
