I decided to make a thread just for our players abroad... Here is some Fatih Akyel news.... Turkish international Fatih Akyel has left VFL Bochum after spending only three months at the club. Bochum manager Peter Neururer, whose team seem destined for relegation, described the transfer as "a huge mistake". Akyel starred for Turkey in the 2002 World Cup, and he signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with Bochum during the January transfer window. However, according to Neururer, the Turkish defender is still living in his own World Cup bubble. "He only showed his true class once or twice in training. Apart from that he just spent his time letting everyone know that he was a superstar and just strolled around the pitch," moaned Neururer. Yildiray Basturk just made a move to Blackburn. There's Billy Mehmet at St.Mirren. Jem Karacan at Reading. Omer RIza (ex Arsena, West Ham, Trabzon and Denizli) is on trial at Sheffield Wednesday with a view to make the move permenant. Tunay Torun is a promising player at Hamburg. There are players all over Europe waiting to be discovered by the Turkish football authorities. If they act quickly (as in the cases of Nuri Sahin, the Altintop twins, and Mevlut Erdinc), there are some that can be of real value to Turkish football. However, it'll be a crying shame if they consistently miss the boat on players like Serdar Tasci, Mesut Ozil, Eren Derdiyok and Gokhan Inler. Another one that seems to have slipped the net is the young midfielder at Arsenal Oguzhan Ozyakup. He has expressed his desire to play for the Dutch national team and captained them at youth level. He's touted for a great career. Here's hoping he doesn't come back to bite Turkey in the backside.
Billy Mehmet at St.Mirren is also Irish I think he is a good striker at SPL level and maybe championship material. Certainly worth a look for friendlies and then make up your minds about him?

I read a reportage of him. He was very upset with his coach. He and his coach had a little fight or something. Also club doesnt let him go. I dont clearly know but i guess his contract continues for one more year. I want him to come back like him. But i dont know exactly the situation in Getafe.
