Turkish federation fires v. Hooijdonk via letter Ex Dutch and Fenerbahce striker, current Football coach Pierre van Hooijdonk was shown the door, following ex Turkey manager coach Guus Hiddink. Pierre van Hooijdonk was coach of Turkey B Team reserve squad. Pierre van Hooijdonk was told his services would no longer be required by a shocking letter by TFF. The letter said ” We no longer require your services as a coach and your remaining payments won’t be delivered” The Dutchman, being no stranger to Turkish football as he was a striker at Fenerbahce, was brought aboard by Guus Hiddink to whip the players of the national team into shape. Pierre van Hooijdonk knew what was coming for him, however in a more gentle way. “It [the termination of his contract] was something i have expected, certainly not this way” he said. “I have had a pleasant time, did a lot of scouting and brought in new players,” the Dutchman added. ” But partings are always asd but the way Turkish Football Federation has delivered me the news makes it more sad.” Both Hiddink and van Hooijdonk were employed by the TFF, during Mahmut Ozgener’s presidency, who didn’t want to be reelected and left the chair to Mehmet Ali Aydinlar. Current TFF Chairman Mehmet Ali Aydinlar and Vice President Lütfi Arıbogan, who sacked the Dutchmen were at board as officials while the former chairmen Ozgener ran the TFF.
