Right, a lot of conflicting factors here. There is a right to be confused about the situation.

Training for Adu is just jogging around the pitch.

I wonder how much MLS would take for him. I could only imagine this transfer taking place if the buying price is under a million dollars or so.

Might be a silly question, but here goes: is it possible that the Union would be happy to let Freddy go for free, simply to be off the hook for his wages? If so, and if they tell MLS they want him off their books, do we think MLS still asks for $1-2 million? (Related question: do the Union have the ability loan Freddy out or is that a league decision?)

Would be a bad move. Another Adu Euro-drama. Sitting on the bench or worse. He has to play to get better.

This would be a HUGE surprise.

Doesn't Gala already have enough talents? What would they want with Adu?

On the one hand, transfer to Galatasaray seems farfetched.

On the other, he isn't there to "keep fit" because he can load up on Twinkies and beer until the New Year's.

On the third hand, if the Turks pay anything for him, they're idiots.

He's grossly overpaid for his production by MLS standards and the Union should consider themselves lucky if they had found someone to take on his salary.

For Gala, $600K is next to nothing but there's no reason to pay transfer fees on top of that. Adu is not an urgent player to have. They can probably get Gökhan Töre at the same, bandied above, rate.

Adu's production for Philly has been great, if Philly had forwards who could finish he'd have great assist stats. When used as a withdrawn forward, Adu is extremely effective as well.

Yes, if he could only have Jermaine Defoe ...

Hypothetically speaking, if the Union tell Gala (or anyone else) that as far as they're concerned, they can have Freddy for free, just take his salary off our books...what does MLS say?

MLS would never give anyone away. There will definitely be a transfer fee involved. I just hope that it's below a million euro's for Adu's sake; if the transfer is on....not likely.

300k-1 mil transfer fee. Adu has two more years in his current deal. He wouldn't be expensive and he is an excellent playmaker that doesn't fit the MLS. Gala gets an extremely good deal.

I think I'd like to see Freddy move, although I'm not convinced he couldn't do well in MLS with the right team. I think he is part of the problem as well.

I just don't think going to Gala is the answer. He needs to go somewhere mid table where he knows hes the man, and he's going to get a lot of time.
