Timbers are trying to get rid of everything good about the organization.

When can we expect the announcement of the trade of Timber Joey for the original Rapids Man mascot?

    Not going to happen.

All the trees in Colorado burnt down weeks ago.

They should have never replaced Rapids Man and his very useful water cannon.

Well, then, they need someone to cut up all the dead trees.

I pointed out last week that we haven't won the Rocky Mountain Cup since we got rid of Rapidman....

I'm not sure where to put this data point but since its "news" I figured I'd put it here. I just got back from a gathering of press and bloggers with Rapids President Tim Hinchey, Rapids Technical Director Paul Bravo, and Rapids Head Coach Oscar Pareja. Hinchey told us a couple of interesting facts.

Average value for a jersey sponsor in MLS is 2.5 million/year
Minimum requirement for a jersey sponsor is 3 years

He also said the Rapids lost 2.2 million dollars last year. So its not hard to connect the dots between jersey sponsorship and profitability in Colorado.

Well that suck because the Rapids missed out on the 2.5 million jersey sponsorship. SKC is missing out on jersey deal as well. I guess these two are the last teams in MLS that don't have a deal in place .

So...what? They plant like 6 trees or something this year? ;)
