They need to focus on the kid soccer crowd and widen their area. I'm a little over an hour away but nobody in my area knew about it. Their could have been a lot of interest. This is something that the Rowdies are getting much better at doing.
Of the players starting last week, if you take away all Canadians, Americans playing for other countries and green card holders no matter if they are credible future USMNT members.......only 40% are left!!!!!!!!!! Seriously, if you take a good look at the stats you'll find that most of the players were developed here. Only 42% of the players listed here are true out and out foreign imports. Those are good numbers.
Prior to 87-90, baseball's Spring Training was for the diehards. It was during that late 80s period that attendance for Spring Training became a thing. Frankly, if you're worried about selling tickets to Spring Training, I think you're in danger of losing focus.

Yup...gets old fast. Stopped clocking a while ago. Just like Gardner. Sure, every once in a while he puts out something decent, but I just give up having to wade through all the crap.
If they resort to the First Amendment argument on BS they don't understand it. I laughed when Sounders fans being shut out of tickets for Timbers home matches made accusations of unconstitutional things.
yeah, the first amendment is probably the most widely misunderstood aspect of the constitution. for those interested, long story short, if it isn't a government entity involved in quashing the speech, the first amendment isn't applicable. private entities can limit speech in their venue any way they like.
I might be more worried about NYCFC sharing a nearly 100% overlapping season with the Yankees in the same stadium, than I am about how ATL will do with their team. It will be a huge relief, I think, when NYCFC gets their own stadium.
I always like how people on here say that their freedom of speech is being infringed on when a front office tries cutting down on chants like YSA.
In cases like this, I tend to think the correct approach for this thread would be to provide a cached version. Bookmark this: http://www.cachedpages.com/ And use it to get cached link like this: http://deadspin.com.nyud.net:8080/mls-expands-to-atlanta-because-the-quality-of-play-was-1564745075
