There is a hotel in Vegas called THE Hotel and at the top is a nightclub/restaurant called THE Mix (or something like that). From the terrace you get a spectacular view of the Strip. I didn't have my camera but this is what I took with my phone:

I'm actually at home for a bit. Fortunately, the meetings next week are in town so I get to play host. My daughter comes home after being in Peru for a year next weekend. She is arriving in LA late so we will spend a night there. I have a two day trip to Sacramento in two weeks. Then Spain, per vacanza:), in three weeks. We'll be the for 11 days.

There is a big Peruvian community in the Milan area. Just about every Peruvian I know has a relative there. Sacramento is where I fly into but I actually do my work out of Dixon. We have a test facility there.

Well, like most immigrants, what usually happens is one or a few will settle and then family and friends follow. After a while, you have a community.

My guess is that they work in jobs that are fairly low paid and are hard to fill with Italians....kinda like what happens in the states. At the hotel that I stayed at during my last trip, the cooks/maids were from Germany and Romania. The Romanian lady was very beautiful.:)

hmm perhaps thats the case i know alot of eastern europeans do much of the farm work in italy. Never would of thought of Germans coming into italy to work in the hotels being i have alot of family that moved from italy to work in germany kinda strange hearing the opposite.

Eh if i was Peruvian i would rather go to Canada then italy but that would be just me.

I think Italy has the advantage of having a language that isn't too hard to learn for Spanish-speakers.

I've noticed a few Mexicans moving to Toronto these days. There is actually a very good Mexican restaurant there and I almost never find good Mexican restaurants outside of the Western/Southwesten US and Mexico.
