no surprise in the loss, 2/3 of our squad were youth & reserves & back ups
in fact only 3 players had 10 appearances or more; zanetti, coutinho, ranocchia
very lackluster and dysfunctional I guess strama knowing there are tougher games ahead in the league decided to rest up regulars, we'll probably see the same thing in the last el group game

KAZAN – "We deserved to draw," said a disappointed Andrea Stramaccioni after watching his side lose to Rubin Kazan by a cruel scoreline.

"In the heat of the moment I'm annoyed. We couldn't believe we were talking about such a result... We came to a tough ground and the lads did really well for 70 minutes. We had a lot of youngsters out there today, the ninth player from our youth academy made his debut since I've been in charge. We started with an average age of 22 and a half and that can only be a good thing for Italian football. Against Atalanta and Cagliari at home we gave too much away to the opposition but we didn't do that at all today. Belec hardly touched the ball until the 86th minute. Still, we accept the result of the pitch. We'll go home now and focus on Parma."

yep pretty much proves the club is headed in a different direction than past years, now to pray and avoid a high caliber team next round

frog-silvestre-juan jesus, silvestre did not work in the middle but to be fair the first goal was silly and the last two were scored very late and after frog had to be subbed out for a youth player, goals were bound to happen and like strama said it was more of a game to give youth experience aka not there to win

Cluj in the next round, one of the better draws but this team gave united a tough time, if we go through we get the winner of spurs-OL.......

both napoli and inter got favorable draws, funny seeing as lazio won their group and got a tougher team

Then there is no excuses for not progressing and Lazio do.

What other way is there to see it? Internazionale are a better team then Lazio nd got an easier draw so that means there can not be any excuses for Internazionale not to progress if Lazio do. That is obvious.

Yes, of course. I am also under the assumption that you believe it also since I gave you the opportunity to show me if I am wrong. You did not choose to do this and so we will leave there since we both obviously agree on the obvious.

but it would be pointless to do so, at least from my perspective, if you believe that inter is better than lazio well ok then I respect that, I don't believe in that and furthermore I don't see much in excuses, you get knocked out or you knock out, are there circumstances that make it difficult or easy for a team? sure
have teams overcome them, yes, have teams failed in overcoming them, yes
only when I see teams play it out can I criticize them

Right, well you could have said this before when I asked you.

Why do you think Internazionale is not better then Lazio?

Kind of worried about Hamsik's safety going to Czech Republic, even though Slovakia and Czech Republic are on cordial terms when it comes to government affairs, I hear theres a lot of animosity between the people there. But hopefully we can just seal that draw quickly.

BATE Borisov is going to be one hell of a game, they beat down Bayern at home, something we couldn't do. Fenerbache is gonna be tough too, but slightly easier than BATE.

why would I think we are?
I think both teams are close to each other in terms of talent, with us leaning towards integration of youth but still relying on the veterans to get the job done while lazio has talent sprinkled in different areas of the pitch with some depth, both are high up in the race for finishing in top 3, and both did fairly well in EL with lazio rightly winning their group, both managers were hired recently and are doing good and you beat us at home so I don't see how we are better, I see both fairly even minus 1 or 2 things

as for napoli, they need to decide what to prioritize and then see what they can do in winter to help their chances in both competitions

There were even two one on ones with the Tottenham goalkeeper and both were missed by Alvarez and Palacio. Zero positives and to be honest I do not think Internazionale will go through but I hope they can still salvage some pride and make it look respectable.
