Vela is an idiot. apparently he decided to skip the most recent Senior NT friendlies & qualifiers in addition to the Olympics because of his club situation. if he had just decided to skip the Olympics then that's fair enough because the Olympics do interfere with club pre-season. but skipping out on the friendlies & qualifiers just goes to show how much of a dumbass Vela is because EVERY single Euro club is on vacation. WTF has Vela been up to these last few weeks/days? last i heard, the guy was just chilling in Cancun. oh yeah, he's definitely doing something about his club situation

Gio is pretty much in the same situation Vela is club wise yet he came and played with the NT and is even going to the Olympics. in addition, why hasn't Vela come out and say anything? like i said, Vela is making himself look like a total idiot.

That wiki is wrong. Mexico is going to play against the 3rd division team again in the semifinals and Spain and Colombia will play the other semi.

It´s a team made up of 3rd division mexican players that replaced Nigera, which pulled out in the final minutes. We played them today and won 4-0.

Hopefully they can continue this success for the title, they're doing great and its at home so no excuses, especially since that winning mentality is running rampant in Mexican teams lately. However they are just kids and can be prone to meltdowns but I don't think this will be the case.

It'd be great for yet another title awarded to Mexican youth.

Mexico 1-1 3rd Division stars HT

Mexico got outplayed by the 3rd division team. They also scored a golazo. And they have the majority of the fans on their side. Everything against the Mexican team.

Mexico 4-5 3era Division team Pks.

The cinderella story. The team who only got in as a last minute replacement has just beaten the team they weren´t deemed good enough to play for. Too bad that I doubt them being good enough to win the final.

Mexico had a lackluster game and showed to have failures in being able to handle the pressure. The goalkeeper especially.

    They blew it? That sucks.

Maybe that 3rd division team can win the tournament, it's basically still Mexico right? :p

If that is the case (these are legitimate eligible rejects) then this would speak volumes of our scouting abilities.

Or maybe not, after all it got to PKs, maybe just a bad day. Or like Phenom will say in the future I see, we have incredible depth, no B team 4 teams in.:p

They are eligible rejects. The 3rd division isn´t bad but the Mexico team was better. Still today they played better and gave it their all. I think the NT was overconfident after they beat them 4-0 the game before and they also seemed to panic.

    This is an U15 team.

Them losing to a side they beat 2 days ago probably means they got overconfident and panicked and had a bad game.

Doesn't necessarily mean the scouting is bad...they are kids.

Colombia shocks Spain in PKs. So both undefeated favorites go out on penalties.

3era division vs Colombia the final.
