Travel/Tickets: USA versus Jamaica in Kingston 9/7/2012

yeah, im an american flyer.....pretty sure jetblue goes into kingston as well which could be a bit cheaper

 

I guess I will by the package for Kingston! Let's keep in touch so we can meet up at the Wyndham hotel and see what the deal is about the tickets.

 

Heh I just didnt count JetBlue as a major carrier.

 

If you stay at the Ibeostar how are you planning on getting to Kingston. My problem is finding a way to get to the stadium if I do not get the AO package, since it is much cheaper to book on your own especially when I'm traveling with another person.

Also, I think there are enough of us looking for transportation. Getting private transport won't be that hard if we have numbers. But at this point, I think I'm flying into Kingston.

 

One option is Air Jamaica. I looked at it, again, I'm going off memory but there was a 3 pm flight with a similar return.

$150-170 You fly in the day of, you fly out the next day.

It's up to you, but it's an option I considered.

 

That's about what I'm paying. I think it was 110 a night. Pegasus right next door and the Courteleigh or something like that were an absurd $300.

 

I'm going to determine everything with the AO El Paso people I was planning on traveling with on June 29th/30th, so thats when I'll have much more detailed information.
In other news, I applaud AO for lowering the cost of there Jamaica package. Now its only $675 per person (Used to be $900 per person, and it also makes there package much more appealing to someone like me.)

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. But if you want 4 nights you save a little money...for those booking 4 nights.

 

Current Wyndham rate is 112, so you'd save around $10 for four nights assuming there aren't any hidden fees.

Still can't figure out how the Pegasus is charging $300 a night right next door and has similar reviews. Maybe the team is booked there

 

I'm leaning towards just booking with AO. & round trip tickets to Montego Bay are $500 right now on American Airlines. (from Tucson & Phoenix)

 

I'd have done the AO package but you need two people.

You don't need a second person, if you're going solo they just shove you with someone else who's solo.

If the Union make the US Open Cup Final, I won't be making the trip to Jamaica.

 

Me and my buddy are also at the Wyndham in Kingston.

We should get a pre-game gathering setup then all shift to the Office together.

 

I guess we are partying at the Wyndham then.

Delta is promoting cheap rates to Montego Bay at the moment.

 

$500 is what I've seen since I started looking.
