Was in the stadium and the Tribuna stands is where they put the USA fans last time for the game. Its fenced off from the other sections of the fans and should make for a safer experience. Looking forward to tomorrow!
Great pics Dee. Hope everyone made it out ok. I'd like to hear some stories for those that were there. Looked like a wild place to watch a match
good time both pre-match and during the match. small but passionate US crowd and no issues with the Guate supporters....
FINALLY back home from that cluster trip! Hope everybody made it back home safe and sound! Will post photos but for now... here's a link of our kick SS interview on live Guate TV. Can't post the actual video, but click the link and select the June 12 show part 4 of 5. 80 seconds into the video! Hey guys, forgot to jump on to say thanks to all on here for organizing the festivities. Me and my 2 buddies had a blast. Stopped briefly at the pregame bar (I did a terrible job of getting around to meet everyone, my bad). We left to go explore the city center before the game, found great bar for food and drinks near main plaza. We hitched a ride from 2 guate fans, turned out to be a great move. Pictures, beers, facebook friends, hugging, laughing, all within 30 minutes of meeting. Funny thing, one of the guys (wearing plain gray shirt) turned out to be the guy that was mooning us from the other side of the fence at the game. Not sure if anyone else saw that. Anyways, the scene outside stadium before the game was spectacular. And thank god (gasp) that we tied because the scene afterward was just as great. We spent next 5 days in Antigua and Lake Atitlan, world class sites. What a great country, and what a blast. Thanks again guys for all the info leading up. Won't make Jamaica away, but for sure in C-Bus. And saving my liver for Azteca 2013 in the Hex.
