But where would the money come from? Porto will demand a very high fee which we can't afford.

Don't massacre me but how about maxi Lopez? We get rid of ozzy. Get maxi, then play Destro as the main st and Lopez as the replacement? And use the extra cash from ozzy to get a cb

I believe in giving Osvaldo another season, but he makes it very hard.

Sabatini is looking at a young CB Aleksandar Dragovic. 22 year old defender from Austria playing for Basel. All I know is he was a beast in my Fifa career mode. Anybody know anything about the kid?

That was already known that Sabatini was following Pezzella. Also Lanzini from River Plate is on his list

I don't know how or if they can do it. Just that they are seriously interested in him.

In regards to Osvaldo there is talk that his agent will push to only let him leave to a team that would be an upgrade over Roma. So Fiorentina where he played in the past might not be an acceptable destination. We might see a repeat of the Vucinic scenario.

He's not really good enough of a finishing striker to go to a bigger club than Roma unless its in a league like Russia.

If Sabatini landed Jovetic I'd forgive him completely for the last two seasons. Even everything that happened with Zeman

Edit: Just read on Goal.com that he has a 30 million buy out clause.

Jovetic is a great player. He wouldn't make any sense absent a change in personnel or tactics. What do you do with Destro? Keep him on the bench? Even if you play Jovetic behind Destro, what about Totti? He is still around and he is still going to play. If you do a trident of Totti - Destro - Jovetic - then what about Lamela?

I am not saying I wouldn't love Jovetic on our team because I would, but we really need to figure out our tactics first.

Very good point. Can Jovetic play up front with Totti and Lamela behind him? Destro could rotate in when Totti is hurt / tired / suspended for a couple years until Totti gives way.

Jovetic would be a natural replacement for Totti. Only player I think he'd have problems playing with is Pjanic. But Pjanic is showing that he doesn't have to play in an advanced position to play comfortably. So he could probably play a little deeper while Jovetic stays advanced.

It just depends who the manager is and what tactics he uses.
