I normally would agree, but after Borini was sold just like that...I don't know what they'll do.

Agree. If Roma could improve to a point where both Bradley and Castan were the bench options that would be massive. Providing DDR finds his form and Marquinos keeps developing.

Mancini went to one Sampdoria match, a club he's a legend at and the next day he's scouting Icardi, Obiang, Marquinho and Lamela according to the press. He was asked a direct question about Icardi and says, "yeah I like him" and apparently he'll be upfront for City next season.

I doubt Mancini is even the coach next season at City.

People need to understand that there's about 1% chance Mancini will coach City next season.

Don't want Mancini anywhere near Roma.

That comment was a bit of damage control and deflection on 3 different topics. One he was apologizing to Dawson for trying to sell him, which I don't think was necessary. Two he was basically saying Gallas won't be back. Finally, I think he was responding to the recent rumors that we might be in the market for Alderweireld, a player we've been linked to constantly and a former defensive partner to Vertonghen.

On the 3rd point, Spurs don't need Alderweireld provided everyone is healthy, Kaboul, Vert, Dawson and Caulker is enough. Roma should be all over Alderweireld, I like Ogbonna and Benatia more but Alderweireld might come cheaper than both, he has experience (some in Europe) and he has upside.

If I was Sabatini, Obiang and Alderweireld would be at the top of my list. Also if we're looking for more depth at the CB position I'd snap up Gallas on a free. He has his injury problems but he's good enough to cover act as cover and he's been a good soldier since signing. Not one issue in the slightest.

His agent said he knew nothing about Napoli.

True or not I have no idea.

It shouldn't be too hard though, send someone else their way or use the Osvaldo cash for him

I wish we could get Douglas Costa. Such a dynamic/game changing player.

Would cost well over 20€ though

Then I think if we. Get an important offer for Lamela we should take it and get Costa.

He's more capable of helping our team. Love Lamela to prices but all you have to do is watch 10 minutes of a Shaktar game and you'll realize how incredible Costa is.

Who remembers what the lad did to us 3 years ago in CL?

I wouldn't sell Lamela for Dougie Costa.
