When a keeper or defender makes a mistake it normally leads to a goal, a striker misses a chance it often gets less scrutiny. At the end of the day they are both young and need patience.

The main reason I'd keep De Rossi is for leadership purposes for when Totti gets hurt and eventually retires. Otherwise we are going to be looking at Osvaldo and Burdisso to lead this team

He's a very good young player, already though. And maybe we won't qualify, but there is NO chance we'll do worse than last year. See if only Destro would've converted those one on one's chances he had against the keeper, in both Bologna and Sampdoria, we would've thought differently.
