I just don't see it. He would be here now if he wanted to be.

Eh, but he would have been limited to a backup role of Robbery. Same can be said about Ginter, who right now is going to Dortmund and has a shot at a starting spot. Doesn't mean he won't come here later. 2015 this release clause is active, Ribéry will be 32 I believe, perfect time to bring either he or Draxler over and if the price really is just 25m, my pick is Reus.

I agree with you, but it's one thing when Robbery are clearly on the way out, but as it stands right now they both have renewed their contracts recently. In 2015 the situation may be different, but it isn't happening this year. Also, Reus isn't as young as most people assume him to be. He'll be 26 next summer, which is fine, but if there's a 22 year old with similar talent I'd rather have the 22 year old.

Honestly would go guns blazing on 2 of 3. Next summer.

    Draxler, hazard, Reus..

When robbery aren't at their peak anymore we are going to suffer heavily. We need the next guys up right before it happens

Sure but 25m for Reus vs. 45 for Draxler? Unless Draxler improves enough next season, I'd take Reus. Ribéry can play more inside in 2015/16 anyways, which is supposedly the route he's going to take as he gets older.

Brandt and Meyer are certainly options at that point. I believe both of them have world-class potential.

I don't think Reus fits our possession style football. He's nothing like Ribery, he has huge problems against well organized teams that sit deep and park the bus. He lacks the creativity to deal with those situations.

The media outrage alone would be annoying as hell. Especially since everybody seems to be a Dortmund fan these days.

No one has brought up the Klopp rumors? (insert any number of 8-10 clubs interested)

Perhaps Bayern could purchase him, send him on loan to the EPL, just so we can weaken the competition of tactical geniuses in the Bundesliga?

What about hazard? We could go balls deep on him as a ribery replacement?

We would have to pay close to 100 M to get even close to negotiating. And then we would still have to offer Eden himself crazy money to et him to sign.

I don't believe those rumors for one second. Klopp is a loyal man, and he has never broken a contract. I don't see any reason why he would go back on his personal values now.

Is it me or are Belgium's "dark horse" status at the WC14 going to all hing on injury status?

Difference is none of our current strikers fit our style very well. Lewy is with regards to technique and first touch a class above anyone we have.

well its Bilbao so if we want to buy him we would have to pay the clause, 36 mil for a 19 years old CB who has yet to play a full season mhm i don't see this happening

Bilbao again? 36M sounds quite steep for a 19 yr old.

If Kroos does get sold, I hope we go after Kovacic. Would be incredible.

To be honest, after Boateng and Dante's latest performances I wouldn't mind at all another CB. Pep is very demanding of his CB's and I'm not sure our current options can satisfy his needs

YESSSSSSS!!! This would be a huge coup, although because it's Bilbao we would probably have to grossly overpay. Maybe they learned from the Llorente experience that they must be more flexible. Laporte is a star in the making. In fact, I was pretty convinced that this kid was on his way to Barcelona this summer until the transfer ban. Would be a huge signing, and having Martinez here to sell the club (and Lizerazu and Heynckes) can't hurt.
