Gattuso and van Bommel together take home about 6m annually.

I don't think you are getting more than 30-40 for De Rossi. He's been playing crappy for two years now. Only Roma fans would pretend to evaluate him for more and it's only because they are on the inside looking out. If they were to buy a similar players they wouldn't set the price that high.

All I know is I'd like to elbow the next person who mentions stupid Brian McBride. :D

    - One he's a nobody
    - Two we won the World Cup
    - It wasn't even intentional

30 mil would be fantastic for De Rossi. Quite frankly, based on his most recent seasons of performance, he's not even worth that much. I'd say 35 is making out like a bandit.

Edit: It all seems to be falling into place. Essien is now out for at least 6 months, so it could invite a bid from Chelsea. Man City is Man City and Real Madrid has been linked to De Rossi for years now. Also, we're supposedly coming closer to getting Sandro for around 12 mil. I think it's very plausible that De Rossi leaves, almost likely. Honestly, it seems like a win/win for us. On one hand, he refocuses himself on Roma and he (hopefully) goes back to one of the best midfielders in the world. On the other, we receive a 30-40 million pound/euro bid which allows us a lot of freedom in building the midfield plus potentially going after a bigger name more vigorously, such as Pastore.

I kind of feel like this too. I said a month ago that in my opinion those with expiring contracts were the most likely too go and I still feel like that's the case.

If you listen to the radio today you get the feeling the fans are ready for it. There are not many people calling against it, I'd say more are in favor of it.

Bojan made official tonight. He will arrive at Trigoria tomorrow with Jose Angel.

"Lui vuole restare. Lunedì lo dirò a Sabatini"

"He wants to stay. Monday I will say that to Sabatini." - Cicinho's agent :(

    Welcome Bojan and Jose Angel!

    News from Pastore:

''I'd like to stay in Italy if I leave Palermo''

"I have spoken with Sabatini before I left Italy to play at the Copa America. He is a great person."

    Transfer News of Today:

Abola (Portuguese soccer rag) is reporting Chelsea only offered 20 million euros, not pounds, euros.

Record (another Portuguese soccer rag) is reporting we are interested in Cristian Ansaldi, and Balzaretti, while Luis Enrique is "dreaming" of Axel Witsel the guy that stomps on peoples legs.

Kjaer's agent says there is no contact with Sabatini so far, but Kjaer would "die to represent Roma"

Those scum over at Inter are offering 6 million euros plus Viviano for Vucinic.

Pastore says that if he leaves Palermo, he wants to remain in Italy.

Zamparini has started lowering his asking price for Pastore. Now it's 45 millions. It'll be 35 in less than a month, mark my words. ;)

Sabatini in one month has visited more clubs and players than Prade in 5 years

When your the Director of Football, I expect you to be living out of a suitcase from May 30th til August 31st, be it looking at youth, visiting other teams facilities to see how you can improve your own, negotiating loan or cooperation agreements for developing youth, negotiating the purchase and sale of players.

I really have to commend Sabatini, he's doing a wonderful job.

These are both left-backs.. Why would we buy another LB if Angel is coming who plays the same position?

We can't throw a 21 year old in at LB in Serie A right away! That would be cruel and unusual punishment, especially against Inter and AC Milan.

Oh, lol, the guy played against Messi and Ronaldo on the wings and you say he's not ready for Serie A. Screw that, I say he's ready. Sabatini himself said, saying that young players aren't ready to play is bullshit.

Ansaldi can also play as a right back.

Your right, he did play against Messi and Ronaldo on the wings, on a team that fully expected to get torched by Barcelona and Real Madrid and was happy to finish mid-table. The win over Real Madrid at Bernabeu was the highlight of that clubs history.

I'm being realistic. Jose Angel isn't going to play 40+ games for us.

Well how do you feel about Lamela, who's 19 years old and only managed a meager 4 goals in a very defensively weak Argentinean league?

    What were his assists?

What did Lavezzi, Pastore and Aguero do in the Argentine league?

I do, but I don't see him as a starter yet.

Lamela is a crap shoot. It's one thing to have fancy footwork in a B division at 19 years old, compared to playing against men in an A division. When i watch his Youtube clips, it reminds me of Menez...then i imagine him in A being a diver. Menez 2.0. The kid is still young and needs to grow. Just hope he turns out worth the money we invested.

Especially since pastore doesn't have huge ambitions to stay in Palermo; How would Rome line up with Pastore and Lamela though, I am curious:eek: Both are Trequartiste even though Lamela is a left attacker.

My guess is Pastore would play central and Lamela would eventually be a starter in the left wing in the attack.

Cissokho from Lyon is "reported" to be having a relation with Roma lately as well; He would be a huge signing; Big, fast, 23 years old, very talented Left Back
