Re: Team News Discussion Thread Vol. VI [R] I think that's fantastic. He'll get regular playing time and come back to us a better player...we have options at that point.
Re: Team News Discussion Thread Vol. VI [R] Our squad is incredibly thin at the moment. I guess we are to assume that Heynckes is planning on using Pranjic in the event that Lahm is injured.
Re: Team News Discussion Thread Vol. VI [R] Well Lahm hardly gets injured (that´s the adavantage of being small). Also if needed we can let Gustavo, Badstuber, Boateng or Alaba (in that order) also play LB besides Pranjic.
Stuttgart is rumored to be interested in Diego Contento, according to tuttomercato.it. I do not know if there is any truth behind this, in any case no one from either club has openly addressed this.
Re: Team News Discussion Thread Vol. VI [R] Agree. If Lahm gets hurt then Pranjic slots into LB temporarily. We have to hope that Pranjic makes the bench now that Contento is out on loan because otherwise we will have to slide Gus over into LB and put Tymo in at CM. I think that Gus is a better LB than Pranjic, but I'd rather not make Gus have to bounce between roles like that. Think he needs time in the center to get a feel for seeing the run of play from there. He's getting better with his pass distribution and positioning and playing LB will require a change of mindset. Pranjic should be good enough at LB to hold things down if Lahm goes out. It will put a damper on Ribery's play, but I think between Schweini and Muller we can keep things unpredictable even with Pranjic playing a more conservative LB role. Schweini and Muller just need to get a feel for who drops back for the outlet and who makes the run into space to draw off whoever is doubling up on Franck. Now the real need for depth lands at the LW position and Ribery's backup.
Re: Team News Discussion Thread Vol. VI [R] Merte seems headed to Arsenal, as if the gunners aren't in deep trouble already. Well there is good to it, at leaset now he will not join us which is a good thing.
Re: Team News Discussion Thread Vol. VI [R] The last LB that was loaned to Stuttgart came back very good to us ...

Re: Team News Discussion Thread Vol. VI [R] Any story containing the line "According to The Sun..." needs to be taken with a grain of salt.
I was expecting some later moves in the market by bayern, I guess I should start looking forward to the next window
...aaaaand in a strange and unexpected twist on this end-of-window day extravaganza -- it seems that Bendtner is linked with every team except Bayern for a change.
To me, wouldn't have made sense on deadline day. Maybe earlier in the month, when we would've had more time to reinvest all that Ribery money.
