    Finally!

But I hope we can forget Gignac and go back to L.Fabiano, since both need 18kk.

LF is a Top Player...and a trio with Dedé Ayew,Remy and Fabuloso would be World Class.

Does Ben Afra have to go first, so L'OM can get L. Fabiano???

Looks like this transfer and Remy's future career is in doubt after a heart problem was discovered by the doctors, sucks for Marseille but sucks a lot more for Remy. Hopefully it's something minor that can be easily corrected.

Any word on the possibility that Gignac might sign?

    He just signed. =p

    Seems we'll have a 1st-11 like :

    Mandanda
    Azpi
    M'Bia
    Diawara
    Heinze
    Cissé/Cheyrou
    Lucho
    Cheyrou/Dédé
    Valbuena/Dédé/Brandão
    Remy
    Gignac

I would prefer Cissé-Lucho-Cheyrou at middle and Dédé/Remy/Gignac upfront.

Sad to see that we can't get a nice DMF. Maybe if we sell Ben Arfa instead of loan him...

Dédé ? Ayew ? No way. He's good for the bench or to be a backup of Cheyrou.

Why is Heinze on your starting lineup?

Really? Imo, E. Cissé was one of the "unsung heroes" of our season last year.

He played well, but he isn't UCL caliber. And he's getting old,so we need someone to replace. Ok that some people think Kaboré can do that, but IMO he's too young.

i think gignac is a good signing, a logical one too since he's a martégal. but i'm having a hard time finding dassier's logic in all this. at first look niang-koné-(HBA) out / (rémy)-gignac in is just going in circles...

the new players are younger... which in spite of what DD thinks might be a good thing. OM may have winning the CL in mind but just pasting luis fabiano (bof) onto the present team would give them ONE shot at it, this year.

still, the financial aspect is curious. dassier said luis fabiano was too expensive, but rémy was the same price, and APG more. dassier's plan ends up costing a net 22M€ (+18+15-8-3); don't know all the moves DD would have wanted but even with luis fabiano it would have been cheaper.

i'm making an abstraction of loïc's health question here. that may end up being a thread in itself!

Point done. But Koné didn't made any kind of difference last season. HBA is a 0 or 10 player, making fantastic matches and horribles ones in a matter of days. Niang ok, but seems he can't find the same importance when playing for us at European competitions as he does at L1. Maybe Gignac and Remy can make upfront works when facing better clubs (and we saw what Brandão did against Milan away. How someone could loses that goal?)

At Le Phoceen they were talking about Gameiro.

I don't think we need to buy him since we have Valbuena...as I said, spent some $$$ to get a nice DMF.

I would not mind signing Payet as a replacement for Ben Arfa.

Its too early. He still could end up fading and disappearing.

his career to date suggests two possibilities:

    1) he's a late bloomer.

    2) his 15 minutes are almost up.

Sounds like a Ben Arfa-type player to me.

You guys are linked with a January move for Rennes RB Rod Fanni, who almost moved to Atletico Madrid this summer. Very good player, best RB in Ligue 1, would be an excellent signing.

I guess he would cover Azpi's absence through injury?

Fanni has been voted best RB in Ligue 1 for the past 2 years, but I certainly don't follow the league as much as you. :)

It's easy to shine when you're a top player at Rennes. Don't get me wrong, He's a great player, but he didn't really show me much in his few chances with les bleus. And at 28, you think he had such an upside he would have moved to a bigger club by now. I'll be honest and say it's a toss up between the two, but RVR outshines in defensive acumen. A fullback is a defender after all.

    Andre Alves

Marseille are thinking about the Brazilian striker Andre Alves (27) of Fehérvar. His worth is about 1 million euros.
