I don't think it is about being a pituco, because beyond Peruvian borders (thank God) that amounts to nothing.

I think rather that it's about how well your P.R. skills are. Just look at Cubillas, there's a guy that has gotten around

Something tells me that he is referring to Raul Fernandez with the "great" club being Universidad Catolica:eek:

maybe he just knows how to network better than those guys, Cubillas wasnt a pituco but he has way connections world wide

how much of a pituco was Chemo anyway? or jst being white is enough to be a pituco

If you go by his surnames (Del Solar Alvarez-Calderon) they sure have a pituco ring to them. Most likely one of his ancestors were landowners who lost their fortune at some point because Chemo grew up middle class... Boys from rich families usually are not willing to to put aside everything else to pusue a futbol career. Nor will they parents let them generally.

please god let it be so! one of my favorite players going to my favorite argentinian team would be great! Didn't I say this on here? It was probably Ballon or Torres? I beat the press, yay! =p

I can see it being true as Chemo rated him over Torres in the end of the Eliminatorias and paired him up with La Rosa or Torres, but he was the sure starter.... and he is the best defensive midfielder Peru has produced in such a long time. Gifted in recuperation and ball handling plus passing, he is complete and consistent, not like the other players who have one good trait and then suck at everything else or play one good game every two, three, or six.

oh my ********ing god dont do that to me! =p im cryin right now :p chemo did say it would be very important for Peru if it happened, i guess above anything he meant for the seleccion because we need someone very good in that position so bad. And this would (does?) open up so many opportunities for others, especially if he does well, which i know he will..... i am now going to be up all night checking evry goddamn news outlet from argentina and the official site....... yay!!!....???
