Chiriches shouldn't be playing in defence. I hope the new coach will use him as a 2nd DM in those games where we are the underdogs.
I don't think he is bad at the back I just feel this season is a total lose and he might have given up which says a lot about his professionalism, but his talent and bravery is there. He could be utilized as a DM, but I think he still best at the back and hopefully when someone else comes in they will get the best out of him.
