still think top 4 is a pipe dream, but nice to see Spurs finally give fans something to cheer about at WHL

I guess this game can be considered as a highlight reel of this disappointing season.

fourth won't happen, but I very much want to be in Europe. and not taking all 3 points from games like this will keep us out. I have no difficulties envisioning us being overtaken by both everton and man u.

I really enjoyed that today, but we really are a bit shyte, aren't we?

Quite encouraging to see the players fight back after going down by 2, instead of rolling over as we've become accustomed to. Soldado excellent today even if he didn't score.

No, not yet, but he should be given a large, lengthy contract extension.

Also, Naughton should take Eriksen and Siggy out for a large, expensive meal after this one.

I love the comeback spirit. That comes from the manager at half-time, IMO. Tim hasn't lost the locker room. Indeed, he may have bought the locker room by saying what they already knew and were whispering amongst each other. Get that on the table so everyone can talk about it openly and maybe it can be repaired. Keep it hidden, and nothing can fix it.

Fourth can still happen… 6 points down.

They really made us look like mugs early on. Glad we came back and got the 3 pts but can't count on that against everyone. Good to see some shots & goals coming... Hopefully that trend continues.

We need to show more spirit from the moment we kicked off, not only when we go down.

I was thinking that while watching the team step it up after going down 2. Why do we have to get our nuts in a vise before we start playing like we care?

To me this match highlighted 5 things.

    1. The importance of having a playmaker in the deep central midfield (once Siggy came on it was a whole new game)
    2. Naughton doesn't cut it, yet. He impressed me a lot a few games and then others he does this shit. I don't think he is worth writing off yet but he is not a starter and he is also not depth for a starter. We should have another RB in case Walker is injured.
    3. The importance of Eriksen. Need I say more? How many matches must Tim see to realize the kid starts every single time.
    4. Kaboul is potentially our best CB and captain. He was a magnificent leader and he was fantastic defending overall. To me if he stays fit he could be one of the best CBs in the league.
    5. Soldado starts. I know everyone here has a boner for Ade but I still think Soldado is the better overall player, he hasn't had his luck scoring but he sets everyone else up so well. He really plays like a false 9 more than a forward. And when you have the right players in your midfield, eriksen, siggy, etc. then he works magnificent.

    Phillyspur repped this.

isn't that how it always happens? knowing our luck arsenal will keep falling apart and we will sneak into 4th and arsenal take it from us on GD last match of the season :(

We can use Kaboul as RB. He has played there before, certainly capable of doing a decent job. Dawson will be replace him in central defence. No matter how slow he is, he is still a better defender than Naughton. And in the next game against the league best strikeforce, a more conservative defence should be used.

How did Sandro fare in the game against Benfica when he played as central defender?
