Yes. He looks raw in that video. Hopefully he can develop further...we desperately need some quality Strikers.
THE CSA is a joke of an organization, run by England loving weasels who still cling to the kick and run philosophy. the can't get organized intternally that is why good kids like this kid play for other countries however, there are rumours that jonathan de guzman is considering to play for canada since he will never crack the dutch team
I can't stand James Sharman from The Score. He thinks he knows it all. What not rant to the CSA about our pathetic team? He interviews these guys but never asks them the sharp questions. Get at them and vent, you moron.
Pretty much every soccer analyst on The Score is a joke, a bunch of British ex. pats who act like know it alls. In fact, the entire channel is a joke these days. Live wrestling and drafted and you call yourself a home for the hardcore sports fan, give me a break. Only guys left that I enjoy listening to are Sid and Tim, and I hear they are leaving the station in a couple of months.
Are you serious? They get rid of Steve Kolous first, then Cabbie...Sid& Tim are next? .....if they do that... "and I'm gone" in the immortal words of cabbie. Kristin Jack isn't too bad at times, though his formation geek setup is hilarious.
Yeah you got a point, Kristian is alright, has some interesting commentary and the nerdy footy table is pretty cool . Apparently Sid and Tim are leaving to host a daily afternoon show on the Fan 590 once their contracts with The Score expire. The only person left after they bolt is Renee Paq. who is easy on the eyes, that's about it.
The Score is irrelevant now. All of their personalities have left due to insufficient raises... they want the big dollars; and TSN/Sportsnet is that place. I do enjoy the morning segments though, but they just don't follow portuguese soccer, or any other leagues. Gerry/Craig are way better analysts. Not to mention they have a wealth of experience covering the sport. Btw, That brendan (The Score) kid needs a slapping. He dissed one of my favorite players. If you see him out and about, I will punch him. I will not accept that.
22 year old Adrien Silva scores 2 more goals for Academica in their 2-0 win over Olhanense. This kid is really having a great season, so far. I wonder if he will crack Sporting's squad next season.... Check out his second goal, what a bomb. http://www.tvgolo.com/futebol.php?subaction=showfull&id=1321035187&archive=&start_from=&ucat=39&
I think if Barbosa keeps this up he may break into the National team. He has competition though in Quaresma, Vierinha, Danny, and Varela though.
Portugal has qualified for next months Under 19 European Championship by winning their group and winning all their games, going 3-0 in their group. Today they beat Ukraine 3-0. Agostinho Ca, Betinho and Bruma were the goalscorers. Betinho also scored 2 in Portugals's 7-1 win over Israel earlier this week. http://www.abola.pt/nnh/ver.aspx?id=334195 Here are the 8 teams participating in the Euro: Estonia (Hosts) Portugal Spain France Greece Croatia Serbia England The top 6 will qualify for next summer's Under 20 World Cup, which is a tournament that we finished runners up last year. I honestly think this team is one of the favorites to win both the Euro and World Cup. It's a generation stacked with talent and depth. Bruma, Betinho, Edgar Ie, Cafu, Joao Mario, Tiago Ferreira, Agostinho Ca, Tiago Illori...etc. Future looks good.
Let's hope they keep them all together, because Joao Carlos left for Liverpool and hasnt been called back since:O Thry also keep some of the better talents on the u-18 squad to evenly distribute quality...maybe they'll make a more stacked team for the Euro. I don't think Portugals ever won a U-19 championship(after it was renamed from u-18), so here's hoping.
Anyone has seen QPR's Bruno Andrade play? I heard he's their youth teams star, and he already made is debut on the EPL.
Since Im not too familiar with this new generation of talent...do you see this generation producing any talents like the golden generation? Or if not, which players look to be stars in the making?
Bruno Andrade went out on loan rather unsuccessfully to Aldershot town but is rated highly within the club. In reference to keeping players Agostinho Ca and Edgar Ie have already been sold to Inter Milan for 3 million euros This team s much better than the one which finished runner up at the WC. If you all remember Ca and Bruma both played in the Euros for the u19s the last time round.
The draw for next months Under 19 European Championship was made today and Portugal is in Group A. Group A: Estonia (hosts), Portugal, Greece, Spain (holders) Group B: Serbia, France, England, Croatia http://www.uefa.com/under19/news/newsid=1807973.html A decent group in my opinion. We got a really good chance to make it to the semis. And with Estonia in our group, it almost guarantees we will be at next year's Under 20 World Cup since the Top 3 in each group qualify for the World Championship.
Official roster for te U19 championship held in Estonia next month. Benfica: Andre Gomes, Bruno Varela, Cafu, Daniel Martins, Ivan Cavaleiro & Joao Cancelo. FC Porto: Alves, Tiago Ferreira & To-Ze. Sporting: Agostinho Ca, Betinho, Bruma, Edgar Ie, Joao Mario, Rafael Veloso, Ricardo Esgaio & Tiago Ilori UD Leiria: Pedro Almeida.
http://www.maisfutebol.iol.pt/super...paulo-rodrigues-maisfutebol/1356327-1676.html Agostinho Ca was meant to be signing for inter and going out on loan to Novarra in Serie B but Barcelona are making a counter offer and want him for their B team. I was worried that after his long term injury he would not be the same player but there offering 3.5 million euros and for a player who hasnt even played in the first team thats amazing
