Just gauging everyones opinion on who next year could have a breakthrough year and come into the NT calculations. 1.Bebe 2.Wilson Eduardo 3.Nelson Oliveira 4.Andre Santos 5.Andre Castro 6.Ukra 7.Orlando Sa 8.Sergio Oliveira 9.Danilo Pareira 10.Roderick Miranda you thoughts gentlemen and Laura
Various sources deep inside dreamland Neveda want to know how Sergio Oliveira has been performing for Beira Mar. Technicians want to know if he has any qualities that maybe added to the new Portuguese superstar hybrid to replace CR7 after he gets old and uses invitrofertilization to get more children. Bebe, the first prototype, is so far an unknown
IMO most of those players are too young to play in the NT during 2011. I believe that these ten, in no particular order, are the ones who are more likely to debut in the selecção: Bebé Daniel Carriço André Santos Ukra João Gonçalves Vieirinha João Ribeiro Nuno Miguel Coelho Orlando Sá Carlos Saleiro
I don't think Sergio Oliveira has been playing much at all for Beira Mar. I've been keeping tabs on his teammate, Wilson Eduardo, but now that you mention it, I haven't noticed Oliveira getting into the game at all. In Beira Mar's last game (I just checked), he was on the bench, but he didn't enter the game. He's only been in two games for a total of 68 minutes so far. Let's hope he gets more time in the second half of the year.
Any word on how Bebe is coming along? Now that Fergie's got some of his injuries back, he's fallen off the "public radar"...and I haven't seen anything on him in a while.
Sergio Oliveira hasn't featured much. One of the games he played was against Benfica but I missed the game so I can't comment. There's a chance that with Rui Varela's transfer he might see more time if we don't linger into the market. Wilson Eduardo has come up big on a lot of occasions but the stand out player for us has been Artur or even Tatu. Actually I could see Artur going on to big things in the future...
*Keeper Mika, I really like his style. (Hasn't played for Portugal, hopefully he will) *Rui Sampaio, only 23, deserves a call up
Nelson Oliveira is the obvious choice. But kids like Betinho, Chaby are being talked about, still young though. But Nelo is in fine form and should be considered at training camp for the euro 2012.
Just a review of this list for 2012 and i welcome peoples predictions, dont be afraid to make your opinion known even if people within our forum are quick to ridicule your predictions. HAve the balls to atleast make a call and back your knowledge and opinion on players you have viewed. 2012 1.Nelson Oliveira 2.Wilson Eduardo 3.Nuno Reis 4.Joao Silva 5.Andre Castro 6.Cedric Soares 7.Orlando Sa 8.Danilo Pareira 9.Luis Martins 10.Roderick Miranda
I like your list. It can be difficult to predict which youngsters will fulfill their potential and which ones won't. I think Sporting have a shitload of great prospects like Bruma, Betinho, Chaby, Iuri, Joao Mario...etc. But I think they are all too young to make an impact in 2012....maybe 2013. With regards to your list, I don't rate Orlando Sa much. He's almost 24 and he's always injured or stuck on the bench at Fulham. A few players I might add to your list are Adrien Silva. 22 years old, on loan at Academica. Having a great season this year. Eder, also from Academica is an interesting player also. 4 or 5 goals in the league this season Rudy and Amido Balde are also players I will keep an eye on.... Ruben Brigido from Leiria, if he returns from injury soon is a player I like as well.
If I had to pick one player, it would be Betinho. No doubt. it's definitely hard to predict... these kids get thrown to the wolves and never get to play. But I am sure Betinho will be a stud.
A Canadian kid playing for Portugal? Yup. His name is Ricardo Ferreira, a central defender. http://www.abola.pt/nnh/ver.aspx?id=301472 What a traitor!
That's a shame. I don't see how Canada will ever be half decent when so many young talents decide to play elsewhere. So now we have two Canadians who chose to represent Portugal.
No idea this kid was Canadian pork chop. Hopefully he plays for Canada at the senior level assuming he will be talented enough.
I don't think anyone here has mentioned Andre Martins from Sporting in this thread yet. I love the way this kid plays. He's fast, dribbles and passes well and is great free kick taker. Every time he plays for Portugal's Under 21's, he's always the best player on the pitch or one of the best. Had a great game in the Europa League this week. I hope he gets more opportunities to play cuz the talent is there. The only negative I see with Andre Martins is his size. Hopefully in time, he will put on some muscle. There's a rumor regarding Eder. Good young Portuguese striker being linked with Porto. http://www.abola.pt/nnh/ver.aspx?id=301983
Is this the player? [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ku1n9fvCX2Q"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ku1n9fvCX2Q[/ame]
