On the right wing. But most of the time one of the three moved into midfield so they had two upfront. They all had the ability to create something from midfield, so that was very hard to defend. It wasn't the season in which Van Basten became European topscorer though. Back then he played with Van 't Schip and Olsen on the wings.
in relation to Belgian league
it is only for team results during the last 40 years or so ?
otherwise there are other teams that have write outstanding chapters in belgian football history... may be as remarkable as those written by RSCA or Club Brugge
I would do it like this:
1. Sao Paulo early 90s
2. Flamengo early 80s
3. Palmeiras 90s
4. Internacional 70s
5. Santos 00s
Chelsea 2004/2005 should be included. Never has a team had so much quality in the prem. They walked to both titles.
1. Flamengo 80s (4 wins)
2. Internacional 70s (3 wins)
3. Palmeiras 90s (2 wins)
4. vasco 90s (2 wins)
5. Santos 00s (2 wins)
são paulo have good performance in libertadores cup in early 90s but not in Brasileirão.
These teams were better individually and they also had good/great records in Europe. I still think the teams I picked were better.
