They are talking about this at the half time show. About to see it. Sounds cheap ...

26' Luiz Adriano (Shakhtar Donetsk) scores! After an uncontested drop ball in the Shakhtar half, Willian kicked downfield to return it, but Luiz Adriano collected, rounded Jesper Hansen and rolled into the net.

Just saw it on the German Sky Konferenz. Not very cool.

Just saw it. Really lame. Although I am surprised no defenders went for the ball.

Definitely a dick move by Adriano. Not against the letter of the law, but he took advantage of the whole concept of 'fair play.' The ref really can't do anything in that situation.

And Shakhtar takes the lead. Willian on 50 minutes.

Three minutes later Luiz Adriano makes it 4-2.
Chelsea in deep doo-doo if they can't grab a point in Turin.

Not playing with a pure striker isn't quite working as well for Chelsea as it regularly does for Barca. They really should be thinking about bringing-on Torres already, as useless as he is.

Seemed more like a thoughtless moment from L. Adriano than 100% douchiness, although still 100% douchy (and could've easily been emptied with scoring an instant own-goal after whistle, but obv didn't do that either).

Lol anyway. What a ****, just trollin'...

Well, it's all set up nicely now in Group E. :)
If Shakhtar-Juve ends in a draw I wonder if Mourinho will be as vocal a critic as he was for Ovrebo 2009. I somehow doubt it.

Just a point of clarification: Shakhtar also win the head-to-head against Chelsea, so the Shakhtar v Juve match need not end in a draw. Juve draw or win means Chelsea would go out. (assuming the current scores hold)

Yes, good point, I hate Chelsea and like to see big teams eliminated early and often particularly the big spending ones. However, I kind of want a chance for revenge against Chelsea. This would give me both, and while it would mean Chelsea won Europa that'd be balanced by Barca winning the big earred trophy for the 4th time in 8 years.

Valencia started the season rather poorly but I think they're starting to hit their stride. Unless it was the World Cup final, there's no excuse for Adriano's dick move

Ah, Muller pulls Bayern level at the Mestalla.

Luiz Adriano makes it 5-2 for Shakhtar.

damn, although they had been playing with 10 men since the 33rd minute. Valencia will still be top of the group if it ends in a draw right?

They're currently level on points, and Bayern won their first meeting. So Bayern would go on top on head-to-head.
It would mean one less team to think about for Barcelona ahead of the second rounds draw, fwiw.

Good point. Why are we cheering for Valencia? A Bayern win/draw is better for Barca.

Yes great point. I don't want to play Bayern in the first knock-out round. It' not like it matters where Valencia finishes since we couldn't play them in the last 16 anyway.

Yes, let's take the Cluj v. Galatasaray winner (for 2nd place in group H). If the other 3 Spanish teams each advanced but did so in 2nd place, there would be only 4 possible opponents for us when the draw is held. That'd be unusual.

I was looking at it from the point of league coefficient, although I like to see both La Liga and Bundesliga do well.
But I agree that avoiding Bayern is a good thing for Barcelona. Not that I don't think Barca can get the job done v Bayern but, eh, y'know. :)
