Thanks for the heads up! Sadly I'll be coaching my son's soccer practice when some of the Sunday games are played, and it is not easy on the eyes to see 6 and 7 year olds play the beautiful game. So I have mixed feeling about the recent rains stopping (which cancel practices to preserve the fields). It is sad to realize so early as a parent that with thousands of hours of practice (which he is unlikely to put in) my son's upside amounts to a Santi Ezquerro on the "Barca player scale" or, to put it more happily in Barca terms, since he scores ugly goals but also defends OK, Olegeur.

Doesn't really matter, does it? They have far too much ground to make up on and with that kind of defending, more points will be dropped between January-March, of that you can be sure.

But I wouldn't rule out Valladolid yet, they've done well. If they take the lead for a third time, then I don't see LPB winning it from there.

Valladolid were robbed of a clear one on one against Iker, before LPB tied it up.

I've watched the last few RM matches and they are winning through individual brilliance. As a team they are playing pretty badly. Kind of shocking really.

Agreed, but who doesn't like seeing LPB lose :p But yeah seems like Mou is putting all his eggs into the CL now seeing how much of an impossible task would be to cut back all those points, this means little.

They just miss something this season, or many things. I cannot pinpoint it exactly. It's definately not attitude because they are running their asses off.

I guess so, but it's not like they'll stop trying to win their games. If the gap is still double digit when the knockout stages come around, we'll be able to put our eggs into the CL basket as well, just like Mou will. So I don't see how that's a win-win for him, especially if he faces Bayern, United, or Juventus in the next round.

They're playing a striker at left back right now lol.

You think Schalke has what it would take to defeat them?

Not really, but then again I didn't think Dormund would defeat Madrid either.

Very different teams though. Schalke's three best players are all likely to leave in January but even if they stay, it's unlikely to make a big difference. They've been on a downfall in all competitions for more than a couple of months now. They're not as good as Bayern or Dortmund.

Oh darn, Ozil with a freekick. 2-3.

Well, that was barely deserved. Valladolid was actually pretty good.
