good stuff, but he misspelled Kearney, NJ. (and I suspect I just misspelled it too, but mine is definitely closer. :D )

And he had to pick the guy who wears a girl's headband.

    For shame, ToLo. For shame.

Jesus, he MURDERED the spelling of Kearny. Doesn't anyone do any kind of research before hitting "send" ???

    Good stuff, though.

American soccer is 2-0, huh? I'm surprised at how quickly that win over Guatamala has earned immortality. ;)

    No kidding.

EJ? Yes. Landon? Of course. Akers? Absolutely.
    But Suarez? Huh?

Still, a good article nonetheless. :)

I think his point was that it wasn't just the star players.

Yeah after that this is a bit of a tough one to argue. Doens't mean it's not true or on point...

American soccer is the sports writer who argues for space from his editors, knowing he'll never change their mind but he remains dedicated to the cause anyway even though he could make more money as a school teacher.

I think his point was players of Latino descent choosing MLS or something like that. I'd prefer Antonio Martinez or Pablo Mastroeni or Arturo Alvarez or Diego Guitierrez.

Hell, I'd prefer Chino Alegria over Suarez.

You're right, he should have double checked. But on the other hand, he did spell it the way people pronounce Kearny -- perhaps he had just heard the name out loud and hadn't read it before.
