God our Father is the creator and many believe in him and many don't. I started this thread because many things happen that alot of people either don't know about them or refuse to know about them.

Mother Eugenia Elisabetta Ravasio who died in 1990. she was born very early she was only in the womb for 6 months, she was the first the find a cure for leprosy, and Her most important legacy to us is the Message of the Father ("The Father speaks to His children"), the only private revelation made personally by God the Father and recognized as authentic by the Church after ten years of the most rigorous examination.
PEOPLE PLEASE FIND OUT ABOUT THIS IT WILL CHANGE YOUR HEART AND ALSO THINKING ON SOMETHINGS

Some things told to mother eugenia

»…I assure you, you do not know Me as I am, because I am coming to proclaim Myself the Father of all and the most tender of fathers, in order to transform your love, which has become distorted by fear. I come to make Myself similar to My creatures, to correct the idea you have of a terrifyingly just God, as I see men spending their whole lives without confiding in their only Father, Whose only wish is to make their earthly life easier and then give them a divine life, in heaven. This is a proof that souls do not know Me any more than you do, not having overcome the idea you have about Me. But now I am giving you this light. Remain in the light and bring it to everybody, and it will be a powerful means both to obtain conversions and to shut, if possible, the gates of hell, for I now repeat My promise, which will last for ever: ALL THOSE WHO CALL ME BY THE NAME OF FATHER, EVEN IF ONLY ONCE, WILL NOT PERISH, BUT WILL BE SURE OF THEIR ETERNAL LIFE AMONG THE CHOSEN ONES.«

"But it is necessary for Me to be recognized as such, so that peace, confidence and love may enter men's hearts and put them in contact with their Father in heaven and earth!
Do not think of Me as that frightening old man whom men depict in their pictures and books! No, no, I am neither younger nor older than My Son and My Holy Spirit."

Too bad the church didn't pay as much attention to the reports of pedophiles masquerading as priests.

you know what annoys me. i was trying to show you great proof that there is a God and he loves us very much and that the cathoilc chuch is the true church by showing you one bit of proof from many many things that happen all the time and all of you refuse to open your hearts and your eyes and you make fun of things and say bad stuff about things you dont want to know and dont understand.

    well it's your loss.

If that's your definition of proof, you've got a long way to go, sir.

As the angels said, we're still waiting for the fundamental scientific or medical knowledge, any attempt to save even a few of the millions of needlessly sick and starving people around the world. Well, we're waiting for that from something besides humanity.

    Tick tock.

I think we can all appreciate what you are trying to do here. What you are missing is, despite your intentions, you're not the first person (nor likely the last) to offer this type of proof of God's existence. It becomes tiresome after while to deal with anecdotal evidence that is not grounded in science, which is why you get snarky responses and the like.

Secondly, this isn't really a proof of anything. It's couched in very definitive language that make it seems like an authoritative truth, but in reality is still based on faith without proving that a supreme being actually did it.

So am I reading this right?

A prematurely born woman with religious beliefs finds a cure for an illness (is there proof that she did, by the way?) and because this is a nice story, it proves god exists?

Well that's cconclusive enough to convince any doubter, surely.

Is this the thread in which we can share the religious wisdom that we get by e-mail?

I want to share a message I received from a friend in Argentina. Sorry it's in Spanish but I'll translate it.

Now we can read the signs of the second coming of Christ directly from the newspaper! Why? Lets see.

During the time of the AntiChrist there will be "one global currency" and that is what the UN proposed this week.

Also, there will be one "global economic government" (led by the AntiChrist from Europe), and this week Germany and France proposed to create a European economic government"; that is, they are taking the first steps towards this global government.

    Christ is coming! Get ready!

Load up on ammo; when the angels come to drag me to hell, i will go down shooting.

That would make a cool low budget movie, the day after the "last day" (shit they can even use the Muslim story as the correct one) then all of us left behind must fight off the Angels.

Better than cowboys and aliens :D

    Yes.

    Luke 12:33

Everybody who believes the Lord's coming is imminent should do just that.

from a NT perspective, the church should live as if the Lord's coming is imminent.

i think the historical view of "sell what you have" can be summed up in "rid yourself of what you don't need", followed by the idea that what you need is provided for by God, so do not be needlessly concerned about holding on to things that would keep you from being of genuine service to the kingdom.

it is counter-intuitive to think that every disciple should sell all he has and give the proceeds to the poor because that would make the disciples just as dependent on the charity of others as those to whom they are giving alms.

in my view, considering all that we have to be a gift from God is a liberating concept. whether we lose it or retain it, it never was ours in the first place. it was given to us to use for a season, and when that season ends, we pass it along, making sure to take good care of it as long as we hold possession.

that encompasses the ideas of charity, stewardship, gratitude and peace (of mind).

Lol, apart from the crazy theology, the facts don't support it either...the Bretton Woods system was much closer to a global currency than the "currency basket" that has been proposed (far from being implemented). So if that was a harbinger of Jesus's return, he missed a major opportunity already...

Secondly, the economic government proposed is rhetoric, nothing else. First of all, it's only meant for the Euro-Zone (not the EU, not Europe and certainly not the world), secondly, it consists of biyearly meetings of all the heads of state of the Euro Zone. That's it. It's just a fancy way of saying "we'll have one more meeting per year".

I love this teaming up between "new world order" conspiracy theorists and Bible thumping apocalypticists...two crazies for the price of one...

it seems to me that there will be incremental change. obviously, i'm not privy to the order of the steps, but a global financial crisis certainly begs for a solution that creates a more globally-unified economy. that probably would require a government that was also more globally unified, and who knows whether there would be much purchase gained for such a "solution" if there's 700% inflation in the Nederlands...for ex.

Funny, I've been doing exactly that lately. Not because I think the Lord is coming, but because I moved from a condo in the OC to one in the Bay Area that costs the same but has much less room for all my stuff.

Not really. If somebody has faith, the idea that they will become dependent is a cop-out. If the disciples are able to work and trust that the Lord is coming soon and will provide for them until then, they should be perfectly able to survive with the bare minimum and use the rest of the income from their work to give to the poor, without becoming dependent on the charity of others themselves.

    Nothing wrong with that.

Indeed that statement describes very well the person who sent me that e-mail. She is exactly both those things for the price of one. But she was hot back in the day, so I thought it would be cool to get back in touch with her, for old times sake, even if I have to put up with her e-mails.

as usual, we are largely in agreement in the essentials. my point about disciples being dependent on the charity of other stems from the idea that we need to have the resources to live day to day. if you sell "everything", that includes your house if you have one, your car, maybe everything that normal people normally have to function. without basic resources we are dependent.

one of the reasons the first century church in Jerusalem needed outside sources of money ( which Paul collected, for example ) is that they did sell what they had and shared to the extent that eventually the money ran out. they were being persecuted and earning an income was more difficult.

there must be a line somewhere -- and i think it's back to individual discernment -- where selling you car isn't good stewardship because you cannot get to work.
