Childhood officially ruined. This thing looks so terrible. Sincerely hope it flops in the box office.
I had lost interest when he said they would be "aliens" although, as awful as this trailer looked, a tiny part of me does what to see this...during the late 80's early 90's TMNT was my life....
I dunno. I almost never see a trailer that actually makes me want to see the movie. Smashed cars, explosions, people flying through the air, all coupled with 3, maybe 4, lines of voiceover serving as exposition. It's pretty formulaic. Of course, if the trailer is formulaic, what's that going to say about the movie?
It's not just that it's formulaic, but I just can't get over the seriousness it tries to portray. And personally, I don't like the way they look.
I've never read nor watched any turtle related materials -- save the ambient information I've received over the last year thanks to my son. But I somehow know that William Fichtner is this movie. And for some reason, I love every scene in every movie this guy is in. Especially Heat -- but his micro cameo in The Dark Knight is also aces. ...so you've got that going for you...
It was a crap cartoon series when my kids were little. I honestly don't know why make a remake. Bad as a cartoon. Bad as a movie. Bad as a remake.

he is the scientist/inventor of the group, maybe it's for night/heat vision? I think I'm becoming the minority of the group, I'm actually getting excited to see this.
Understood, and I guess because I'm familiar with the personalities each of the four turtles has, I don't think it needs to be so blatantly visual that he's the "tech" guy. If it's just a one-off scene, and he isn't covered in gadgets and paraphernalia throughout the movie, then it's not so bad, all things considered.
