With the game being released only a mere 2 weeks from now, much of the conversation has been buried in the next gen Xbox thread, including beta discussions. Time to give it what it deserves. News yesterday came out that there will be a Titanfall/Xbox One bundle for sale on March 11th for $499. Seeing as the console by itself costs that much at the moment, it's like getting the game for free. The official unboxing video of the collector's edition was just posted, so I thought I'd share.
I so wanted to buy that, but at the end of the day spent money of some other things so I decided to just get the digital download of the game. MS will allow people to download the game before its release so come launch day people will be able to play at 12:01am PST.

That's cool that they give a code. But for people who already have the xbone, like me, we can "pre-order" it through the xbox game store and download it before the official release. Come 12:01am PST we'll then be able to play the game. I think that's great news and hope they do that for all games. I think in this instance I'd rather have the digital version, that way if I want to play the game I don't need to worry about the disc being in the system.
that's awesome, this is the game that has me excited for the xbone...I am slightly interested in Tomb Raider too, but that's for another thread
A little bummed to hear that MS has now backed off the pre-load of Titanfall. Now they're saying the page was in error. I wonder who bitched about it that it forced them to change their mind.
My guess is Best Buy, Gamestop, Target, Walmart, and all the other stores sitting with unsold consoles. Probably didn't help that the Titanfall bundle wasn't just current Bones out in the wild with redeemable codes. I ain't shook though, still buying mine digitally.
Yeah, I'm still getting mine digitally as well. Hopefully they have it in the store before I go to work so I can just download it while I'm at work.
I'll be shocked if you won't be able to start downloading the game at midnight. Most game specific console bundles aren't sold until release day. So, it would be crazy for MS to not have the game up for download for those with digital codes. Really hope there will be an obstacle course like MW games had. I think that would be the best way to help players get a feel of the parkouring aspect of the game, way better than the tutorial they had in the beta. Better yet would be to not drop the tutorial but add an obstacle course run to it.
I didn't mind the tutorial, it was a good way to get a feel for things. An obstacle course would definitely be interesting though. Both as a pilot and as a Titan.

I was good and avoided all streams over the weekend and will try and hold out until tomorrow. Interesting that you'll have to play through the campaign-multiplayer to unlock all the Titan chassis.
Apparently PC users WILL be able to preload the game and play at release time, but XBone owners will not be able to download until the game "launches". Unfortunately for people on the East Coast that means, 3AM, 2 AM your time @NORML At least we can download it while it's at work and play tomorrow night with it already loaded. Wait. Does that mean people who got ditigal codes with new bones won't be able to play until that time either? If so, wow, hate to be the duder who goes to a midnight launch to get his new system only to find out he still will have to wait 2-3 more hours to play. Also glad someone finally addressed the time for when the game will be available digitally on the bone. Kinda felt like MS wasn't willing to at all but maybe now we know why.
I'm guessing if you buy the bundle with the code you can download immediately since you're redeeming a code. If you're going to buy it digitally you'll have to wait depending on your time zone.
