He's been on the list for years, but never had his own thread apparently.

Anyway, German-American 1990 Timothy Chandler moved from Eintracht Frankfurt to FCN (second team) for the 10/11 season.

    Standing, second from left.

Also, Pell Matarrazzo is now a trainer with the squad. He's a former YA who spent a bunch of years in Germany, many with this same team. I think that's him standing at far right.

I think he plays Right-midfield now.

Regular 90 starter and just scored last game. 3 goals in 13 games

I smell a Yanksabroad article coming soon. a RF,RM,RB. Interesting to see where his first position will be when he enters a Bundesliga match.

Kind of a big deal. shame he just misses the U-20s. Could be an olympic option. Nurnberg arent too strong on the right from what ive seen, a sub at the 56th minute might indicate that. Ill have to watch a nurnberg game next week to see

The club wanted to wait but I got them to agree to maybe the end of this week.

I also needed to find a German interpreter

It's still not set but I am cautiously optimistic. It's a bit touchy. I've been trying hard for close to three weeks.

Chandler on the bench for the Cup quarterfinal against Schalke. I started a gameday thread for the 2:30pm ET kickoff.

Amen brother. A real nice piece as usual. I'll call him JJ (Jermaine Junior). German mother. American father who was a solider. Of American-African decent. Parents divorced. Lived with his mother. Speaks little English. And started off with Eintracht Frankfort. They couldn't be more linked. Now let's just hope he has the same impact as Jermaine. I love that these stories keep popping up. I love that Chandler has the US on his mind. He's definitely worth monitoring. Kudos to the kid for accepting a positional change and for knuckling down and working his way to the 1st team. It says a great deal about his character and drive.

Yep, cool great find of this guy, very surprising he is just coming to light in the last 6 months or so. I agree that he is almost an exact clone of the JJ story....only he seems to want to play for the US first, if those comments hold up. One to keep an eye on.

If I were young Timmah!'s rep I'd advise him to sign up for English lessons ASAP just to make acclimating to the US players and coaches a little easier.
