Based on the votes from Time's Person of the Year panel: no one. Padma Lakshmi seconds the suggestion from HerthaBerwyn Malala Yousfzai, and New Gingrich does likewise for my suggestion of "The American Voter" (ew). But, But I have a hunch the actual Person of the Year will be one that Time’s managing editor, Rick Stengel, dropped casually into the conversation: John Roberts. As Stengel noted, the Supreme Court’s rulings on Obamacare and Citizens United were enormously influential in shaping how the election played out, and later this month the court will begin hearings on a gay marriage.
