22. June Argentina - Guatemala ! http://www.goal.com/en/news/585/arg...igeria-algeria-fixtures-to-copa-america-build
PU*A...otra goleada ante Aregentina. La ultima vez perdimos nuestro DT de la verguenza, a ver como nos va en esta.
Don't know if this article is true or not. GoldCup semifinals are going to be played on June 22nd. I'm not saying we are going to make it to the semi's, but you never know. The article also says they are playing Honduras in May. Lets hope its true though.
as long as they still under 20 yes they can, hey what happen to that player un negrito de 16 years que devuto con la seleccion mayor de guate?? like 5 years ago.. supuestamente fue el mas joven en aver devutado con la seleccion nacional!!
I think you are talking about Jean Patrick Howell. Besides being the youngest player to debut, I think he was also the youngest in Guate to test positive for doping. Last I heard, he had a 6 months to a 1 year suspension.
Hey Jay, welcome to the Chapines thread. Bueno para mi yo creo k son buenos fogueos para la Sele. We gotta start seeing who's competitive to play these type of games, and if they aint ready well call somebody else. I think thats what Almeida is looking for. P.S. Check Ruiz's thread, i got some info.
I was listening to LaRed yesterday before the game and they interviewed Kenroy Arana. He came to support his ex teammates.
I'm not so sure about immediately bringing some of these players up for the Gold Cup and beyond, but without a doubt they've gotta be called up by Almeida to practice with la sele mayor. They need to push the older guys and really scare them in to knowing that their spot isn't guaranteed. If the young kids can push the older players, then they're really bringing everything to the table, sub20 and beyond. The older players are too comfortable and some young blood, even in practices and scrimmages, would be perfect to push la sele mayor to play their hearts out in the future - no slacking accepted
Totally agree Armada. These kids are playing with fire and have that hunger to do well and play well. There are some older NT players that have lost that fire. It'd be nice to see these young kids give them a run for their money and make them work hard again.
I think they should include a few older players and add them to the sub 20, would make sense, guys like Ruiz, Pappa, Loco, and even Pezzarossi, I would include Pando as well. I think this group has to be kept together and given more experience, they have a different mentality from our past players and we have to keep them that way if we want future success IMO.
Well from what i read, but u didnt hear it from me , Is that Almeida has told the Federation and the clubs in Guate that if they dont work along with him and give the players of the U20 on time to get ready he will step aside and will leave the Sele. http://www.prensalibre.com/deportes...exige-descanso-seleccionados_0_461354035.html
http://www.prensalibre.com/deportes...ala-mensajero-Joseph-Blatter_0_460754090.html What do you guys think of this? Yeah, Sepp Blatter was sure there for Guate when Warner and Trinidad and Tobago screwed us out of the '06 WC.
Exactly, viejo hueco. Solo lo que le conviene. Aguantas representante de la paz, mejor linchenlo al viejo cascarabia
Exactly. F*** Blatter and f*** Warner. Warner only gets reelected because he's got all the island nations in his pocket with bribe money.
http://www.selecciondeguatemala.net/2011/04/almeida-amenaza-con-dejar-el-la-bicolor.html About time Almeida grows a pair in dealing with the club teams. I hope he REALLY does stick it to these piece of sh*t clubs who can only think about money.
