There was very good attendance at the soccer game, I'd say well over 1,000. (The Soccer/Track Complex's permanent stands seat 500, and they brought in some portable bleachers.) But what I noticed is that it appears USF has a supporters' club. There was a sizeable group of Bulls fans who were chanting off and on seated behind the north goal. That's a concept I think somebody needs to bring to UCF. We need to get some UCF students, both male and female, into the Orlando City Supporters fold and learn them a thing or two. There's no excuse not to fill the stadium during the regular season, since admission for soccer games is free. In the meantime, it would be nice if we actually showed up for the Rollins/Clayton State match at Rollins College in Winter Park. They are in the D-II Elite Eight, and are looking to advance to the Final Four in Louisville. The match is Saturday night at 7pm.
Rollins is indeed going to the D-II Final Four in Louisville. The semifinals are Thursday, December 2, with the final to follow that Saturday. Times TBA. Rollins will face Midwestern State in the semifinal.
Shawn Doyle deserves major man points for that game. He had to make 11 saves to get us to overtime. A lesser goalkeeper would've ended up losing in regulation like 7-1 or something.
Just found this highlight video of the Michigan/UCF game. Its from Michigan, but at least you can see some of the game. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pMSGlv4feis&NR=1"]YouTube - Michigan Soccer Advances to the Sweet 16 With a 2-1 Win Over UCF[/ame]
