Obviously it was only their first game and it was stop and go thanks to the commercials and all of the other non-game related things they were doing, but what is everyone's initial impressions of our new announcers? I thought Fletcher did a good job for his first game, but I'm not sold on Keller yet. Fletcher did tend to be fairly herky-jerky at times, but I'm hoping that is just him being unfamiliar with the players and that it will smooth itself out as he gets more and more comfortable. Keller didn't really seem to get too involved unless Fletcher specifically asked him a question. The information he provided was good, but I would like to see him be a little more pro-active with the in-game analysis.
Still need to watch it but how you describe Keller is exactly what I want from the second man in the booth. I hate it when Analyst spew useless babble just to hear themselves talk. I suspect they will smooth it out and find their own rhythm soon enough. Keller working with ESPN this season might help him with on screen banter a bit as well.
I think they're going to be just fine, and their performance gives me that confidence. I'm really going to enjoy Ross Fletcher and Keller is going to get more comfortable. Good first showing for the both of them
