25- soon to be 26 year old in February Spanish midfielder who began his career with Athletic Bilbao and has flourished with Real Betis. He only has a few caps with Spain but that is understandable considering who features ahead of him (Xavi, Inestia, Busquets, etc.) but may be forcing his way into the team more often

he most reminds me of Luka Modric as he is similar style and stature. Good ball playing mid who seems very tactically astute. Not quite sure how he will do with the ball winning side of the game which is not his strongest area but he could be a fine deep lying play maker which our system desperately needs at times.

Considering the release fee he really may be worth the look in.

"Frank lambart should be offer a 2 year contract as he is a very very talanted midfielder who can bang in lots of goals and now tell me who else among England players boast such remarkable track record ?Given the opportunity I am very sure this Chelsea legend can surpass Bobby tampling's club record of 202 goals. At 34 he has proven again that he is goal scoring machine."

Isn't Isco an attacking mid? Where's the need?

    There isn't...

I say we look into getting a box-to-box with great defensive abilities like Lars Bender. Someone that can play alongside and instead of Lamps.

If Lampard stays, I wouldn't want him playing every match and Ram is more of a CM than a DM.

Just out of curiosity: if we had to pick one of either lamps or Cole, who would you choose? I know they have different roles, but who do we really need?

Tough question. I guess I'd rather have Lamps. Bertrand seems an adequate backup. Do we really have one for Lamps?

    The Burgh of Edin
KDB seem to be the closest we have to Frank on the books at the moment. Despite his loan spell being such a success, I wouldn't mind him being recalled so that he can get some mentoring from Frank, as well as some first team appearances given our lack of depth in the pivot and the number of fixtures left.

As for the question on which one to sign, the heart says Frank, the head says Ashley due to him being 3 years younger and still the best in the world at his position.

he better not bring his ex-girlfriend around then... :p

I have seen him a few times and while still a little niave in regards to the game, to be expected at his age, he looks a real talent for the future

Mate, with JT still on the books, we better leave all the WAGS out of it.
