Good point. If it's based on minutes, Guzan should be fine as long as he plays somewhere, because as far as I know, Quentin is the definite No. 2 keeper at his club.

Now Westberg has reportedly re-signed with Evian for one year with an option for a second year provided the club remains in Ligue 1.

Seems like Beira Mar really wanted to make him their first choice keeper, so kudos to Q for being willing to battle it out at Evian.

Really remarkable how far his career has come in 1 year, considering this time last year he was a Ligue 2 reject barnstorming for a job.

Report out of Lens that L.2 Clermont is looking to bring Westberg in to replace departing keeper Fabre. Not sure how that works with his signing a new Evian contract though.

Unbelievable this guy was barnstorming trying to pick up a backup job in Ligue 2 a little over a year ago. It just goes to show you how fast things can turn in this sport.

I'm pretty sure Westberg is now the team's second-stringer, unfortunately. Evian purchased Brøndby starting keeper Stephan Andersen earlier this week, and everything I've seen indicates they intend for him to be the starter from now on.
