we also have to take into account that both Nery and Vela are playing in excellent form with their clubs right now and that will make a huge difference once they get called. i can see our offense consisting of Chicharito as lone striker, Nery as a support striker, Gio on the right, and either Vela or Guardado on the left.

like you pointed out, even though Guardado is getting consistent playing time, playing in 2nd division has affected his level.

in the game against Colombia, we saw sparks of what Gio and Barrera are capable of, but lack of playing time makes their level drop and play real inconsistent.

once we incorporate Vela, Nery, and Olympic players like Aquino, Fabian, Cortez, etc. we'll have a great idea just where we stand. and hopefully by then, guys like Barrera, Gio, and Juarez will have their club situation sorted out and are getting plenty of playing time
