We learned that when the Euro based players are out of form the nt has no hope. Oh and replacements for an aging defence need to be found asap!

Friendlies should be used to experiment with players who are getting significant playing time. There's no reason to shoehorn in someone who isn't match-fit for a match that isn't really that meaningful.

Time to plan the retirement tour for some of our heroes. Salcido, Márquez, etc., have done great things for us, but at best their role should be reduced to that of subs.

Salcido, Marquez, and Perez along with Barrera need to GTFO.

Ochoa did pretty well today and NONE of those goals were his fault.

Jonathan Dos Santos is a beast and needs to be our starting midfielder from now on.

despite Chivas playing pretty horrible this season, Arellano has been one of the few players trying to carry the team on his back and has been playing well when on the wings

if Chepo plays him on the wings, then he can be a dangerous player. i remember when he subbed him in during the friendly against the Nads last August, and Chepo put him as a striker

i don't understand why coaches play Pina as a striker, when his strongest position is that of a winger. and he can play down both flanks with relative ease.

and with how Barrera played today, i'd much rather have Pina play there than him

After subbing out JDS, our midfield was literally non-existant, the last 30 minutes or so were pathetic.

The obvious one, against teams as talented as Colombia, we can't afford to line up players who haven't played significant minutes in 4 months. We will get burned most times.

You should have seen how angry I was in the Velez game when Ambriz moved La Pina to striker, I almost threw my remote at the television. :D

I say we give Arellano the chance and it would not surprise me if he ends up taking Barrera's spot since Pablo is playing just like Zaragoza(HORRIBLE).

juarez sucks which makes me sad because he was a puma but our best bet in that position in guti estrada right now... arellano im not so sure but he certainly deserves a chance... other option is to move gio to the right (until aquino is ready) and have lugo behind chicharo

The biggest positive is that we appear to have replacements for Torrado and Castro in Zavala and JDS.

only good thing that came out of this game. would have loved to see Jona go the full 90, but instead Chepo moves Salcido to DM

our defense was always one of our strongest points, but today they looked like shit

i hope Chepo learned something from today

i learned that unless your playing every week in europe, or are at least on a top team, you should stay in Mexico where you can play every single week. Barrera was at his best when he was in Pumas, so was Juarez. Since going to Europe they have really become crap players. I mean I have seen no improvement in them, in fact they both have regressed terribly. Send them back to Pumas, or Chivas, im sure they could use them and play every single week. The only players we have that should be in Europe are, Chicharo, Guardado, Moreno, Maza, Gio, Vela, J.Dos Santos, thats it, everyone else should be playing in Mexico.

Man and I really like Juarez too. :( I'm not sure about el Guti Estrada since I have not seen much of his games, although he did get burnt by Arellano a few times. :D I say If Arellano does not work out then move Gio to the right and put in either Peralta or De Nigris alongside Cheech.

I learned that, slowly but surely, Barrera is turning into venado 2.0
    1 people repped this.

It's mostly defense, only Barrera looked bad while Guardado and Cheech looked good. Gio had glimpses of brilliance but drowned when it counted.
