Considering this is a soccer forum, you might want to consider actually watching soccer. Well I guess you could be one of those guys that believe there opinion is more valuable then those that actually know the game.
There are just some sports that are a lot harder to switch your support for. Whether it was b/c you played it, was a passionate supporter, or something else.....I can't explain it. Maybe it's the "Miracle on Ice" that was so publicized, and left a really really sour feeling.
Dude, seriously? The Olympics were third fiddle to the games vs. Canadian pros and the WC. Russia fans couldn't give two shits about 1980; it's '72 and '87, especially the former, that hurt. Anyway, U.S. fans (and others) have really been getting on my tits with this "Oh up an down the roster only Canada has more skill than us." and "Apart from the top 6 we're way better than Russia." shit. I hope the U.S. gets mauled this time around.
Might as well not be an asshole and post it. RC, remember last WC how I said they should use old footage (all be it heavily leaning towards Brazil) in their ads?
Both ex-Shaxtar players Willian and Fernandinho have be recalled to the the Brazilian National Team for their friendly international against South Africa. Also current Shaxtar player Bernard is also in the team. IMO that both Willian and Fernandinho would not be in the National Team had they not moved on to the EPL. Just more proof that the Brazilieros who want to play for their National Team are just passing through Donets'k.
It's not so much Shakhtar as the Brazilian public/media/coaches having a strong bias for player who developed through the domestic league.
I think the USA Is done. Ghana is their arch-nemesis they will not beat Germany. Who will mark CR7 on team USA. Germany 7 Portugal 5 Ghana 2 USA 1
No Landon Donovan and lol at Jurgen's son trolling him on twitter. Meanwhile, at Dima's house, ssssssssssaaaaambaaaaa!!
Look Dimochka, we are really glad you have a chance to enjoy your NT's participation at the foremost forum of footballing world for as long (or short) as it lasts. We are still going to watch it, too, don't you despair. I hear Germany is bringing an excellent team there. I will jump on that bandwagon.
I'm doing a pool. Details - I'm going to send out a spreadsheet. You predict scores of every single match and the spreadsheet calculates the points and the winners of each group automatically based on your scores. Same thing with knock-out rounds. All you have to do is select a drop down menu from the score cell and pick a number. I didn't create the spreadsheet, but it's the best one I've seen. Everyone contributes $20 and I think the winner will get 80% of the winnings, 2nd place 15% and the 3rd place either 5% or the $20 back (depends on the # of people playing). If interested, PM me your email.
If Russia gets eliminated in the group stage again that country's men just need to chop their balls off out of courtesy to themselves.
