Was very excited with this transfer, still am but if we lose Ozil it would be pointless, ridiculous and just stupid.
For Perez and Ancelotti is probably logical. Team is to crowded not to mention that 40-50 million to nicely cover this Bale transfer. It sad to say its high probability for this transfer to happen.

Someone tell Perez he can stop holding his ankles. Levy has left the building. Bale is good. Not €100m good but he has power, pace and end product. Where he fits and how he shares the field with Ronaldo in terms of time on the ball, movement and set-pieces remains to be seen but it is a good problem to have. You certainly have two of the best counter-attacking forwards in the team now.

Finally feeling the happiness on his skin -- Welsh-come Gareth Bale. I love Ozil, but if Ancelotti is sure he will be only used as a sub and out-of-position at that, 50 ME sitting on the bench is a waste of resources. The only way to get Ozil in the side seems to be using unorthodox formations just for his sake -- false 9 or having our wingers as strikers. Sorry to those who were holding onto slightly unrealistic hope that the fee would be significantly less than has been constantly reported. If Perez thinks Bale's draw is worth it in terms of leverage for TV rights and other deals, I guess I trust him.
Lots of speculation on what the final price is, but neither club indicated what it was in their official statements. I wonder if that was agreed for it to be undisclosed or if they'll give the numbers later?
If we end up selling Ozil, which seems all but wrapped up, I'd like to downgrade my vote to WTF are we doing?
