Did we stepped over the word "also"? :geek:

I think conceding 4 right after subbing him off is an indication. Obvious your other 2 reasons have added as well to the result, especially the red card early in the game, making it an uphill battle.

However there was still a penalty in the 43th minute that was missed. Surely a 2-1 scoreline would have had them fighting for a draw. If not, then they are a bunch of mental midgets. I have played a game myself where we were down 4-0 and beat the opponent with 5-4. Never give up. An unfair ref is nothing else than an obstacle to overcome. Should have been accepted with both hands as a stepping stone to grow as they are in a vital moment of their learning curve.

What has this to do with Rekik? Look at Savic role in this play. That's the guy he will have to try to compete with if he stays at City this year.#doable

I think Achabar misses the speed to become a complete striker. He is not able to outrun defenders. His goal and ability to assist is great. Maybe he can also be developed as a 10.

I have gathered counter sources saying Ebecilio is not doing that well at Arsenal. He was also not included in the trip to Malaysia with the first team. Apparently they have no clue at Arsenal what his position is and now they start playing Ebecilio at right back. How is that working for him? Judge yourself:

So he was supposed to have done some good work on that position in 1 or 2 previous games, but IMO he is very unlucky on that position in this game. I am not assured Ebecilio is developed well.

Interesting development. I have read it as recent as last month that Ebecilio was invited to train with the first team. I couldn't remember where I read it from, but this is a quick excerpt from somebody's website dated July 11, 2012:

"He could be joined in the first team by a fellow reserve team player. Kyle Ebecilio has also been training with the first team lately and according to people close to the club, he is very highly rated and Wenger is considering adding him to his first team squad. He signed professional terms with the club in February 2011 having joined Arsenal from Dutch club Feyenoord the previous summer. Arsenal and Wenger seem keen to give some more young players opportunities in the first team, perhaps we will see more of Bartley and Ebecilio in the League Cup and the FA Cup this season as well as seeing them a lot in the pre-season games this summer."

    http://paininthearsenal.com/2012/07/11/bartley-promoted-to-first-team-ebecilio-could-be-too/

Ebicilio also started in a friendly match against S'oton on July 14. From the line-up, it seemed like he played in midfield. Some other established players, like Gervinho, Santos, and Djorou were also involved in the match. The game ended in 1-1, went to PSO, in which Ebecilio missed the final kick that gave S'oton the win.

    http://www.arsenal.com/match-menu/173431/first-team/southampton-v-arsenal?tab=report

Ebecilio is still 20, so maybe first team is not his place (just yet). He may benefit playing regularly in the reserve team or going on loan, rather than rotting on the first team's bench. And the competition is really stinks for him. The likes of Frimpong and Coquelin are ahead of him at the moment.

Yes this is what I have read too and i thought I was the one posting this earlier, but I only have posted the fact he trained with the first team and that Wenger considers him adding to the first team.

However as I said in my opening sentence, I have read now observations from people posting on forums who watch the games from youngsters, that state that they are a bit underwhelmed by him so far. A lot of people just state he was chosen as player of the tournament at Euro U17 and add to that Fabregas received the same honor. However we are now more than a year further and I have read upon a lot of game reports from an Arsenal youth watcher with discussions down below the articles he writes and the single thing that stands out for me the most, is how people don't talk about him at all. After every game it's this player, that player, but Kyle is left unnoticed. Rekik on the other hand is already seen as better than Savic and praised by almost every City fan paying attention at the youth. Maybe Ebecilio is not much talked about because he is seen as a bought talent and not a real Arsenal product or that he is not English or something like that and City fans care less about this. Maybe Kyle is just not playing special football. I start to believe more in the last possibility.

Ebecilio is as of today 18 years, 5 months and 8 days old, or 18.44 years old as you will. He has yet the brake the 1000 weeks mark (he is on 961 weeks now), so he is doing well. Your point is well taken though. Arsenal midfield is crazy to brake into. Maybe harder than Into City center defense. Though Kompany is a no go for now, but Toure and Savic are no world beaters. Especially Savic is doable. Rekik should have that as his first goal.

If Wilshire is coming back and Diaby is coming back (and remains fit) they have a lot of midfielders. In that case he can forget about this year getting any playing time in the first team. Ozyakup was repped as being the best of the academy and ready for the first team, but was done with everything. Not enough perspective on playing time and has gone to Besiktas-Turkey for this season. I think the 10 position was pretty weak at Arsenal. If Ramsey can get a spot there, anybody can, so Ozyakup could have tried and fight for it. Just shows how tough it is to brake into the first team, or better to say in this case, how marginal young players see their playing time chances on a longer run. Also RVP needed quite some years to become a real starter.

Ebecilio has this raw talent in him, this energy that needs to be focused. If I see him playing now at right back in a very unlucky way, I wonder how he would have done at Feyenoord next to Clasie in the "El Ahmadi role", running his lungs out. Would have been perfect for him.

This guy in the middle with the big smile. He has the touch of a ballerina. Wonderfull skillful in his first touch, his passing, even his interceptions have grace.

For me he is (one of) the most refined players on the Dutch fields today. He does have to become more dominant though. I miss him sometimes in parts of the game and wonder where he is.

He is a player in the Dutch U21 team that plays or Vitesse. His name is Marco van Ginkel. He is 19 years, 7 months and 26 days old.

This analyses of him does not show his silk touch, although maybe with his last goal in the clip he shows his technical side a bit.

yep, van Ginkel is wonderful to watch. If it goes on this way the mid field for the future Orange is going to be a battlefield for hopefuls. Now the same thing for the two other lines and we will be World Champions for the next 12 years:)

Van Ginkel is silky to watch. However I think in the future as he gets physically tougher & learns to defend he will morph into a DLP or a CM. He is not an utra attacking very quick & very quick thinking No.10 like say Ozil or Silva who can play at the wide position.

I love Van Ginkel. His touch is so SOOOO Smooth. Would love to see him at Ajax.

Also delighted to see Castaignos back. Another guy I liked

Dutch U21 gets owned by Italy U21. I can start analyze, but it almost feels stupid dong so.

The clusterf*ck kicks in when you play van Dijk and Blind in center defense and you need to stop players that can play football. Put Bacuna in front of that, who can't play football. Then some joker at the right back. Van Aanholt at the left, having a his energy and good will, but no technique. Whole defense sucks.

De Jong, missing an open chance, van Ginkel not being his self as an Italian player actually tackles him when he tries to get past him and Fer is not able to create speed in the team. He ticks off quite some boxes, but he misses the most important one.

As I speak van Ginkel misses a huge chance and that has been always my worry about him. His ineffective ways in front of goal. This is close to Wijnaldum proportions.

Add to all this, a certain Cor Pot who should be protected from himself when crossing the street with one car driving on it and we get an idea why we are deserved down with 3-0.

Sorry to say, but Blind was horrible too. Of course that also had to do with a good Italian side. Props to them, but yeah, all Groningen players sucked. Even van Ginkel, de Jong and Ola John (though had a good assist) sucked.

I don think Italy would have got an equal side today, if Clasie, Gouweleew, Nuytinck and Leerdam would have played. All injured. The goals fell so easy, that it's safe to say those 4 players would have done better.

However it's the job of the coach to also win sometimes with less material. This is impossible in the Cor Pot world.

You don't have to apologize to me about Daley Blind's ability. He's really not very good and it was telling that FdB did not use him in the middle last Sunday against AZ. He did have a decent enough match at left back though.

Kyle Ebecilio played the final 20 minutes in the new setup for the youth. There is a U21 competition in the EPL. Hope he has a better year than last year and he starts to know what his spot is at Arsenal. That is his problem. He and they don't really have an idea where to put him. IMO it's very simple. He would be served best in a simple attacking 4-3-3 in one of the more forward midfield positions. He is basically another Fer.

He shines 1 time in the video at the end with a good forward run.

They think he might be a RB!? .....They just can not develop talents. Sometimes I get the feeling that the english still don't understand football.
