Will also probably be cultural disaster when Russia comes around. Another bone-head decision.

Totally different circumstances. Ukraine is not nearly as culturally stubborn as Russia and not to mention as large.

Don't you know that racism and nazsim are on the highest level in Ukraine? What did people said about this before the EURO 2012 in Ukraine? I don't really see any difference, will be the same just like in Ukraine. Mark my words.

I'd love to see how they schedule the games and how the fans would commute within such a massive country. Russia that is

So much for Brazil being one of the emerging superpowers? Was that all propaganda? I really thought it was one of the new giants on the scene and the economy was said to be booming? Maybe I have been listening to the wrong news but when did things degenerate to this point or has it always been this way?

I give you, the city that will host 6 games in the World Cup, including a semi-final... The avenue showed in this video is about 1,5km from my home ... And everytime it rains a lot, it gets like this...

And it's the same in several other spots in the city ... And most of the other host-cities have similar or worse problems ...

    #BestWorldCupEver !!! LoL

Yeah the western media will freak out about Russia and get the Russians all riled up and defense in an archaic east v west sort of way from the get go again, but if the Olympics went off reasonably well, I honestly don't know cause I literally could not care less about the olympics, then so should the russian WC. Especially if most games end up played in Moscow and peter.

Still don't expect there to be nearly as many logistical problems or issues for traveling fans as there look to be with Brazil. Especially if this WC ends up a massive embarassment for Brazil.

lol what? You should probably tell some Ukrainians about this. And most of russia that makes it so much larger than Ukraine won't be used for the WC as all of the top class stadiums are in the west, where people actually live.

There's no if... This WC WILL BE an massive embarrassment for Brazil... And a massive robbery too, as 98% of the money used so far was public money...

So, what is basically happening is, FIFA and the government are f@cking the Brazilian population in the a$$, and in the meanwhile they rob our money and don't even give a rats a$$ if this is a successful event or not...

    Wow (in a bad way)

What about the Favela cleaning? Is it necessary in BH?

Also, what would you asses the risk of demonstrations arising and turning violent during the WC? Dilma seems to think it's likely with all that money put aside for security.

Either way, I plan to stay as far away from that WC as possible :ninja:

It's not as necessary as in Rio, but we have our share of Favelas too... And I'm 100% positive there will be demonstrations and riots during the WC and they'll be 10 times bigger and worse ...

Can you protest long enough for us to fire Löw before you start the tournament?

Oh it has been a huge theft, but if it somehow goes relatively smoothly and the tournament is an exciting one, the embarrassment will be less obvious from a far off glance and no thought being put into it. If however the tournament is a little dull, or the issues they're having lead to a number of stadiums being taken off the circuit right before the tourney, or people can't get to certain matches at all so the stands are almost empty, or any number of other really massive calamities happen then that kind of embarrassment will get russia to flood the WC prep with money to ensure a similar catastrophe doesn't occur during their matches.

FIFA already said that giving the WC to Brazil was the biggest mistake they ever made...

I'm sure the WC will be a mess, and I hope so... That way everyone will see this country for what it really is...

Hopefully, 2014 will be my last year in this dump...
