Don't have the official report so take this for what its worth

    http://soccer.yahoo.co.jp/jleague/news/article.html?a=20100525-00000513-sanspo-socc

Verdy might get taken over by the league.....that's bad.

This would suck for their real fans but I could see them selling the name to Nakata and Ramos and letting them drop down to the JFL and be a barnstorming team.....like the Japanese Equivalent of the Harlem Globetrotters.

Nakata can use it for his charities and bring in his European buddies once in awhile and the old Kazu biddies can be all Natsukashii again.

Or more likely they'll just shutter the team.

That's insane. Even if losing half of the sponsor and attendance revenue, if they ran the same budget as Mito, the debt would be gone in a few years.

Keep digging deeper or you're going to have to sell your image rights to a prefecture league side!

Yesterday Verdy has played their match at Komazawa – will this be a permanent move?

This is a temporary fix for Verdy. They will probably face the same fate as the Yokohama Flugels unless they find a new owners.

Perhaps we should start a BigSoccer Japan account and buy out the club share by share as we discussed earlier. Now's our chance!

Evening all.Anybody wishing to buy virtually ANY football team has to be either clinically insane, ready to burn a whole lot of cash or ideally both. Buying Tokyo Verdy is somewhat akin to betting your life savings on a three legged, arthiritc donkey to win the Indy 500. Still, there are plenty of nutters out there so, "Nutters of The World Unite" and buy The Greens....Please!!

Verdy have been really impressive, considering. They're obviously building for the future (good to know they were hopeful from the start), so it's great to see some support behind them.

It was close apparently, relieving news for J. League fans...I am happy for them.

Hope to see the team in J1 soon.

25,000 at Ajinomoto tonight.....I might be wrong but gotta be the biggest crowd since the Emperors Cup win. A truly fantastic ocassion to be a Verdy supporter. A night I`ll remember for the rest of my life. Lost 2-1 but it wouldnt be Verdy without dropping a bollock somewhere along the way.....:)

Pretty annoying but not wholly surprising unfortunately. On the Save Our Verdy game there were people leaving before the JEF game even kicked off. They had come to see Ramos et al trot about playing footsal then left before the actual team even came out....Now if that is not the epitomy of TOSSERS I don`t know what is.

Funny, I think that's pretty much what we always say about Verdy supporters. And y'all are the ones that get a new soccer-specific stadium? Seriously? もったいないな〜
