If I thought that people who ordered Pats gear got a Revs fridge magnet, I wouldn't be pissed. But do you really think that's the case?
I am not sure if you are a parent but this is akin to a younger child trying to find his own identity and the parents continuing to push the already established and much more successful older brother to anyone the younger child meets.
Because everything comes from the same place (ProShop), they're likely pre-inserted into all packaging way before an individual order is placed, to cut down on the time between when that order is placed and when it gets shipped. It's not like they saw that you ordered something Revs and decided to throw in something Patriots related out of spite or to piss you off. I don't know, it just seems like something very minor to get all worked up over. It's healthier not to.
Oh I understand how it happened. But think of how easy it would be include something Revs related in the prepackaging. It's just another reminder that the Revs are the red-headed stepchild.
I don't know... I'm just opening a package of school books I ordered and wondering why it comes with chewing gum, a can of Red Bull, and Fructis shampoo and conditioner samples.
Do you think if I ordered something from the Sounders online that I would get Seahawks swag? After all, there's an NFL season about to start!
Really? When? I hadn't heard. Where can I get me one of them refrigerator magnets, so I know when the games are? Do I have to buy Revs gear to get one? Of course, what a brilliant marketing strategy!
I honestly wouldn't open my big fat obnoxious mouth if I knew some pat fan from the little town of Menden got a Revs schedule and fridge magnet when they ordered their Aaron Hernandez jersey! But WTF does Bob Kraft care about what I think!

Exactly. It's the same story from Day One. The Patroits have always been emphaised, even to Revs-specific audiences. No one disputes the fact that they have more fans, are responsible for more revenue to the Kraft empire and will always have a higher profile. We get that. We just want a little crumb here and there to know that we matter, both in the public eye and to those in decision-making positions. DJEsq09 wasn't working for the club at the time, so I'm sure he doesn't remember the time when Lou Imbriano, who was the Revs Grand Figurehead (because he had such great media connections, or so the story goes) came to the tailgate to mingle with fans. He was showing off his Pats SB ring and every time people tired to engage him in Revs conversaitons he turned it back to the Pats. He simply didn't have any knowledge at all, or at least not enough to even have an informal chat with serious fans about the team. He was the equivalent of a coach telling the players to "kick it harder." Do the Pats really need any more "marketing push?" Does anyone not know that they are about to start? This is a team that really sells itself (although not as much as a few years ago). That was the biggest problem of firing all the Revs staff and having Pats staff do their job--which team requires more creativity, effort, inginuity, thinking outside the box to sell? Which one requires the people in positions to be better at their jobs? So who got to keep their jobs? Hmmmm.....
Really. Kraft is so out of touch he can't even pack shipping boxes right! But, seriously, we know Bobbo isn't filling out shipping orders himself. If he really cared, he'd can that stockboy's butt.
I'll let anyone who wants to judge ... go ahead and do so. We're still miles away from some of the commercials we see for other teams. The 2014 Season Ticket Commercial.
The commercials are at least getting incrementally better every year. It's an improvement on 2012, which was an improvement on 2011. I still think they should hire out an agency to produce this stuff, though.

If our defense, and by extension our Goals Allowed, wasn't so stingy, we wouldn't have nearly as many Points (aka tiebreaker #1) as we currently do.
