I joked about that on Facebook this morning. I heard that CBS is coming up with one as well for the MLS demographics, a NY based cop show called "Red Bull New York." The first episode will be arresting Wilman Conde.

Pat Phelan just signed with Finnish 3rd Division side Seinäjoen Jalkapallokerho (who, I'm told, are known as SJK)

Seinäjoen Jalkapallokerho? Yeah, that's easy for you to say...

On a related note, I just saw on the YA forum that former Revs draft pick Steve Perry just came back from the Finnish 3rd division and signed with Wilmington in the USL.

*Could not resist joke about him being a JOURNEYman*

Doc was replying about Michael Owen, not Nicky Shorey.

I think so too. Benny drifts out on the left all the time even when he's playing centrally, so he's more of a "roaming" central mid. If Benny and Nguyen play together, the best combination I've seen is Benny central, Nguyen left.

Revolution: Post-apocalyptic society with horseback babes with crossbows? Sounds fun to watch!

I looked up this team. Looks like they're in first place in the first division, which is the second tier of soccer there. Tough to see what the article says because it's in Finnish. Probably better exposure than the USL, good to see former revs are still playing.

I don't know if anyone posted about this, sorry of they did, but Parkie's team is dangerously close to clarifying for the Champions League. Would he be the first former Rev to play in the CL? Assuming they get in?

He would be. It looks like Dempsey might be playing in the Champions League as well next year.

We'll have a former Rev Champions League tracking thread next year

What was awesome about this was that the article was about how MLS teams are marketing towards adult fans over single-event youth soccer crowds. Definition of irony! Or definition of "cruel joke."

If he's a free agent, does that mean a team can bring him in immediately and not wait for a transfer window?

I've begun to be truly apathetic to the ignorance of these pseudo writers who have NO IDEA WTF they're talking about! But, try as I might to shrug it off...

"The Revs did win the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open, an inter-league soccer tournament. But unlike in Europe, America doesn’t have multiple leagues that all think they’re the best. No matter the sport, one league always reigns supreme, making that league’s championship far more prestigious."

Strike one to the donkey..and of course I cut said journalistic vomit and shut the webpage...

Yup, the open Cup, is just like the Champions League...I wish he had spent 4 seconds on Wikipedia trying to figure out what the f'k he was talking about

That was a misquote, actually. I did not say, and I don't believe, that the 'Morgue' moniker is "facetious"
