The Sanga TV coverage was the funniest, asian lads driving round Birmingham and giving lifts to coppers chasing rioters.
Was given a stream to that from COYS. Brilliant. Also, did you happen to catch the local Brum commercials? Specifically, the one about the Sofa Factory that had that amazing jingle? Local commercials are amazing.
I haven't completely lost faith in humanity... http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/new...media&utm_campaign=crouchy-gets-a-trim-160811 Go here and go to pic 23: http://www.boston.com/bigpicture/2011/08/london_riots.html Crouch went in to get a hair cut from that guy. Looking at that pic made me depressed. But, do note the autographed pic of Crouch by the mirror!
Carling Cup 3rd round draw: lots of all-premier league ties, some smaller teams could go a long way in this competition. Tricky tie for us up at Stoke. Cardiff City v Leicester City Wolves v Millwall Chelsea v Fulham Aldershot Town or Carlisle United v Rochdale Arsenal v Shrewsbury Town Burnley v MK Dons Leeds United v Manchester United Brighton v Liverpool Nottingham Forest v Newcastle United Manchester City v Birmingham City Blackburn Rovers v Leyton Orient or Bristol Rovers Swindon Town or Southampton v Charlton or Preston North End Everton v West Brom Crystal Palace or Wigan v Middlesbrough Aston Villa v Bolton Wanderers Stoke City v Tottenham Hotspur
Just read in Croatian media that young Tomislav Gomelt scored 3 goals and picked up a red card for Spurs juniors..Spurs defeated Inter Milan 7-1 in some kind of futures tournament..Maybe this kid has a bright future..
http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/news/articles/lads-in-seven-heaven-310811.html 6-1 at half time and we were down to 10 men The Ivorian kid Coulibaly apparently did well, too.
http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/aug/31/football-depression-spurs-john-crace Lengthy but excellent book excerpt from a Spurs fan talking about his depression and how the game helps him through it. A mix of events and feelings we are all familiar with, and more harrowing stories of the poor guy's condition.

Rafael van der Vaart 4 goalkeepers and no Danny Rose. (Edit - guess he falls in the U-21 category, like Walker too)
I too was perplexed by the 4 goalkeepers thing. We seemed so desperate to clear out all these players, yet somehow I think we could have kept one additional outfield player that'll get more time than Alnwick.
Sandro signs a new 5 year contract, great news: http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/news/articles/sandro-signs-five-year-deal-080911.html
Not sure where else to stick this, but a quick plug for a new-ish Spurs podcast called "The Fighting Cock" Great fun and yeah, they are quite sweary, but I don't mind even if they are fond of the C word. It's on iTunes as well. Pretty much a polar opposite of The Spurs Show.
I know we talked about this previously, but I can't stand the Chicago Dan guy on there. He's trying wayyyyy to hard to fit in with the other guys, and it annoys me. Be proud that you're an American, is that not cool? 'kin posers drive me mad.
Well I suppose that when you move over there, you just start to talk like everyone else does just because of your surroundings.
If your name is Brad Friedel, you do. There's a fine line between assimilating and sounding like a douche, though.
1 year to go on the new training site: http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/fut...nstruction-at-new-training-centre-130911.html So in a year we could have new training ground, new manager, new spine to the team and possibly starting on the new stadium.
