I watched him run through the streets of LA for the gold, just like I saw Mamede in the 10K in way back then in the 84 Olympics. Nothing like supporting our own.

The man is a legend in Portuguese marathon running and, of course, won Gold in the Summer Olympics in LA in 1984. Re: The Sporting Fans Only Thread Probably the most famous of the Cinco Violinos, Fernando Baptista dos Seixas Peyroteo was Sporting's first true superstar. He scored a ton of goals and helped the team to a lot of silverware in the '40's. Peyroteo is my avatar of the week.
Re: The Sporting Fans Only Thread Not sure if you guys watched chelsea and Boro today, but Rockemback must've been the man of the match and played out of his mind today. He was easily the best midfielder on the pitch today.... he's missed. Didn't really know where else to post it but figured it was fine here since's he's a former player.
