Liedson maintains that there is no disciplinary problem w/ him and that it has been the coach's option to leave him out of the classic Porto -Sporting.

From what I heard, if he only apologizes to Paulo Bento, and the team he'll be on the team.
The way Deivid as come on 2 games 2 goals, Liedson is going to have a hard time getting back into the starting lineup.

After missing a few games, and chances throughout the game his confidence was very low, and Paulo should've sent someone else to take the PK.

It looks like the entire team is lacking confidence. As for Liedson...he will score his goals...Douala on the other hand needs to get into gear. His runs seem ok but his passing and finishing are leaving alot to be desired.

Moutinho needs to work on his shot, as that is what is lacking to complete his game....

As previously mentioned Wender and Alves should be shipped back to Braga for a bag of Roteiros...

As a positive note Nani looked good again, as did Varela when he entered the game.

My final note, we need to question Bento's subs a bit. Sa Pinto should have been the first player subbed as he is just out of gas. He needs to be worked like Barbosa last year. He can no longer play an entire game. His effort is tremendous and something the other players should take notice of, but he starts to break down after about a half of futebol.

Your point about Sa Pinto is dead-on and so his the Barbosa solution. I think that the midfield lost a lot of the cohesiveness as compared to last year's, understandably so because of the loss of Barbosa,Viana, & Rochembach.

Honestly I would let him go, and try to recoop some of the investment. He started out the season well, and gave us some promising play at LB, but was injured most of the time. This was probably the reason he was never called upon by the new coaching staff.

That is one of my concerns, he was full of promise at the pre-seasons and the start of the season games. In a year from now he may be in a fully recovered mode and Sporting material again.

For the fourth consequetive time Beto is not called for the upcoming game
( Rio Ave). P. Bento's option raises eye brows; is Beto's career finished at Alvalade?
